No Deposit Bonuses: How They Work and Honest Alternatives

How no deposit bonuses work: max cashout, wagering, KYC and bonus abuse, worked examples, the UK 10x rule and wager-free spins that need a deposit.

A no deposit bonus is a casino offer you can claim without paying money in: usually a small number of free spins or a few pounds or euros of bonus cash credited when you register. The catch sits in the terms: winnings are normally capped, often have to be wagered before they can be withdrawn, and are only paid after full identity checks. As of 7 October 2026, none of the casinos we list offers a no-deposit bonus, and we will not pretend otherwise. What they do offer is the next best thing for most players: free spins whose winnings are paid as cash with no wagering, released when you make a deposit.

This page explains how no-deposit offers work, works through the maths with real numbers, shows how to spot fake ones, sets out the UK rules that changed on 19 January 2026, and compares the wager-free alternatives at the casinos we have checked. Every offer quoted here comes from the operator’s own terms, read on 6 and 7 October 2026.

Why our list has no no-deposit bonuses right now

We only list casinos whose licence, operator and terms we have checked. When we went through the welcome terms of the casinos we work with, none of them included a no-deposit offer. Rather than list a casino we have not verified because it advertises “free money”, we list casinos with offers that come closest in value for the player: free spins with no wagering on their winnings.

That is a real difference from a typical no-deposit bonus. Free-spin winnings at Taste Vegas, Slot Pony, Quickz and Spin Sweet are paid as cash, capped at EUR 1,000 per stage, with nothing to wager. Winz.io’s welcome wheel pays wager-free prizes on the first deposit. The trade-off is plain: you have to deposit first. If you were going to deposit anyway, wager-free spins are often worth more than a no-deposit offer with a EUR 50 cap and heavy wagering. If you were not going to deposit, none of these offers is a reason to start.

We review this page monthly. If a casino we have verified adds a genuine no-deposit offer, it will appear here with its full terms.

How no-deposit bonuses work

Casinos use no-deposit offers to get new players to register and try the site. The offer is a marketing cost, so it is designed to be small and to convert into a depositing customer. An earlier version of this page described three types; here is a corrected and fuller list.

Free spins on registration

The most common type. You register (sometimes with a code) and receive a set number of spins on one named slot, at a fixed stake per spin, often the game’s minimum. Ten to fifty spins at 10p or EUR 0.10 each is typical, which means the stake value is between one and five pounds or euros. Winnings either go straight to your cash balance or, more often, into a bonus balance with wagering.

Bonus cash

A small amount of bonus money, for example EUR 5 or EUR 10, that you can use on a range of games. Bonus cash almost always comes with wagering, game restrictions and a maximum amount you can withdraw.

Free play or timed bonuses

A larger amount of play money for a short time, such as an hour, after which any profit above the starting amount may be converted into a capped bonus. These are less common today.

Some offers are only available through a specific link or a promo code entered at registration. The old page said such codes “can be used only once” and are entered “when replenishing the deposit”. A no-deposit code is entered at sign-up or in the promotions area, not with a deposit, and the one-use rule normally applies per person, household, device and payment method, not just per account.

Cashback without a deposit requirement

Not strictly a no-deposit bonus, but sometimes marketed as one: a share of losses returned as cash or bonus money. You must have deposited and lost to receive it. Quickz, for example, advertises up to 20% weekly cashback.

The terms that decide whether a no-deposit bonus is worth anything

Two no-deposit offers with the same headline can be worth very different amounts. These are the terms to read, in order of importance.

Term What it means What to look for
Maximum cashout The most you can ever withdraw from the bonus, whatever you win The higher the better; EUR 50 to EUR 100 caps are common
Wagering requirement How many times the bonus or winnings must be bet before they become cash No wagering is best; in Great Britain, licensees may not exceed 10x since 19 January 2026
Wagering base Whether wagering applies to the bonus, the winnings, or deposit plus bonus Winnings only is the lightest
Game weighting How much each game counts towards wagering Slots usually 100%; table and live games often 0-10%
Maximum bet The highest stake allowed while a bonus is active Breaking it can void winnings
Expiry Time to use the spins and complete wagering Short deadlines push big stakes
KYC and deposit-to-withdraw Identity checks, and sometimes a required deposit, before payout Read whether a deposit is needed to withdraw no-deposit winnings
Eligible countries Where the offer applies Players from excluded countries may forfeit winnings

Maximum cashout: the term most people miss

A no-deposit offer with a EUR 100 maximum cashout cannot pay more than EUR 100, even if a lucky spin wins EUR 2,000. Anything above the cap is removed when the bonus converts. That is why big wins from no-deposit spins are rarely life-changing, and why a wager-free free-spin offer capped at EUR 1,000 per stage, like those at the casinos on our list, gives far more room.

Wagering: how many times, on what

Wagering is quoted as a multiple: 35x, 40x and so on. The base matters as much as the number. 35x on EUR 5 of free-spin winnings means EUR 175 of bets. Thirty-five times a EUR 10 bonus means EUR 350. Thirty-five times deposit plus bonus, as on many deposit offers, can mean thousands. Always multiply it out before you start.

Worked example: what a no-deposit bonus is really worth

Expected value is the average result over many attempts. It does not tell you what will happen this time, but it is the honest way to compare offers. In the examples below we assume a slot that returns 96% to players over the long run; the real figure varies by game and by the setting the casino uses, so check the game’s information panel.

Example 1: 20 free spins, winnings wagered 35x, EUR 100 cap

  1. 20 spins at EUR 0.10 = EUR 2.00 of stake.
  2. Average return at 96%: EUR 1.92 of winnings, credited as bonus money.
  3. Wagering: 35 x EUR 1.92 = EUR 67.20 of bets.
  4. Average loss while wagering: 4% of EUR 67.20 = EUR 2.69.
  5. Since the expected loss (EUR 2.69) is larger than the expected winnings (EUR 1.92), the average player finishes with nothing to withdraw.

A few players will hit a good feature early and convert something, up to the EUR 100 cap. Most will not. The offer is a free trial of the casino, not free money.

Example 2: the same spins under the UK 10x cap

  1. EUR 1.92 average winnings (about the same in pounds at a 10p stake).
  2. Wagering: 10 x 1.92 = 19.20 of bets.
  3. Average loss: 4% of 19.20 = 0.77.
  4. Average left to withdraw: about 1.15.

Still small, but now positive on average. That is the practical effect of the UK cap: offers became less spectacular and more honest.

Example 3: EUR 10 bonus cash, 50x wagering, EUR 50 cap

  1. Wagering: 50 x EUR 10 = EUR 500 of bets.
  2. Average loss at 96%: EUR 20, double the bonus.
  3. Expected result: zero for most players; a lucky minority cash out up to EUR 50.

Example 4: wager-free free spins after a deposit

Compare the free-spin stage of a casino on our list. At Slot Pony, the second deposit earns one free spin per EUR 1 deposited (up to 250 spins), each worth EUR 0.10, with winnings paid as cash and capped at EUR 1,000.

  1. Deposit EUR 100 on the second stage: 100 spins, a stake value of EUR 10.
  2. Average return at 96%: EUR 9.60, paid as withdrawable cash with no wagering.
  3. Your EUR 100 deposit is your own money and must be wagered once before withdrawal, under the casino’s general terms.

The same deposit at Taste Vegas’s second stage, which gives two spins per EUR 1, would bring 200 spins and a stake value of EUR 20, so the average return doubles to about EUR 19.20, still paid as cash. Smaller deposits scale down in proportion: EUR 20 at Slot Pony’s second stage gives 20 spins worth EUR 2 in stake, the same size as a typical no-deposit offer but without wagering or a low cap.

The spins are worth about five times the no-deposit offer in Example 1, and the winnings are cash. The cost is that you have deposited EUR 100 and will play it. If that was your plan, the spins are a fair extra. If it was not, keep your money.

What real no-deposit terms look like: one operator’s rules

Most operators do not publish their no-deposit rules until they credit an offer to an account. Winz.io is an exception: section 6 of its bonus terms, which we read on 8 October 2026, sets out the rules for any no-deposit bonus it gives. Its public welcome offer remains the deposit-based Wheel of Winz, so these rules apply to offers credited to individual accounts, not to a standing sign-up bonus.

Rule in the terms What it says What it means for you
Wagering All winnings from no-deposit bonuses must be wagered 40 times EUR 5 of winnings needs EUR 200 of bets
Eligible games Slots count 100%; table and live casino games do not count Roulette or blackjack play does nothing for the wagering
Maximum conversion EUR 100, or the equivalent in your account currency; anything above is forfeited A EUR 2,000 hit still pays at most EUR 100
Deposit and KYC to withdraw At least one minimum deposit and completed verification before winnings are paid “No deposit” applies to claiming, not to cashing out
Deposit turnover Each crypto deposit wagered once, each fiat deposit three times, before withdrawal A EUR 20 card deposit made to unlock a payout needs EUR 60 of bets
Deadlines 3 days to activate, 3 days to play, then 3 more days to complete wagering Up to nine days in total, and the clock starts when the bonus is credited
Excluded countries No bonuses or rewards for players from Sweden, Spain, France, the UK, the Netherlands, Sint Maarten, Curaçao or Lithuania Claiming from one of those countries breaks the terms

Put those rules together and the shape of a typical offshore no-deposit bonus is clear. The wagering is 40x on winnings, the cap is EUR 100, and you still have to deposit and verify before anything reaches your bank. None of that is unusual, and it is printed in the terms, which is more than many advertised “free” offers can say. It also shows why the wager-free spins in our toplist, capped at EUR 1,000 per stage with no wagering, are often the better deal for anyone who was planning to deposit.

KYC and no-deposit bonuses

No-deposit offers attract fraud, so casinos check identity carefully before paying any winnings from them. Expect to provide a photo ID and proof of address, and sometimes to verify a phone number or a payment method in your name. Some operators require a small deposit before they pay out no-deposit winnings, to confirm a payment method; if so, it will be in the terms, and you should read that clause before claiming.

In Great Britain, the rules go further. Since 7 May 2019, UK-licensed operators must verify a customer’s name, address and date of birth before allowing them to gamble. A UK no-deposit offer therefore cannot be played until you are verified, which is one reason UK offers ask for documents at sign-up.

At the casinos on our list, verification can be requested at any deposit or withdrawal. At Quickz it becomes mandatory at the latest when cumulative deposits reach EUR 2,000. Uploading documents at sign-up avoids delays when you want to withdraw free-spin winnings.

Bonus abuse: what casinos treat as breaking the rules

Every bonus term sheet has a clause on “bonus abuse” or “irregular play”. Breaking it usually means losing the bonus and any winnings from it, and sometimes the account. The most common triggers:

  • More than one account. One offer per person, household, IP address, device and payment method is the norm. Creating a second account to claim a bonus again is the classic case.
  • Using a VPN or false details. If you claim an offer from a country where it is not available, or register with details that do not match your ID, winnings can be withheld.
  • Breaking the maximum bet. Staking above the limit while a bonus is active, even once, can void the winnings. The casinos on our list set EUR 5 as the maximum bet with bonus funds (Spin Sweet’s welcome terms say EUR 10, but its general bonus terms say EUR 5, so stay at EUR 5).
  • Playing excluded games. Bets on games that are excluded or weighted at 0% do not count, and some terms treat them as a breach.
  • Low-risk betting patterns. Covering both outcomes in roulette or similar strategies to clear wagering is banned almost everywhere.
  • Bonus-only play. Some terms say a player who only ever claims bonuses and never plays their own money can be excluded from future offers.

Honest players rarely hit these rules by accident if they read them. The ones that catch people out are the maximum bet and the excluded games, so check both before the first spin.

How to spot fake no-deposit offers

No-deposit bonuses are the most misused term in casino marketing. These checks catch most fakes:

  1. The offer is not on the casino’s own site. Look for it on the casino’s promotions page and in its bonus terms. If it only exists on a third-party page, it may be expired, invented or region-locked.
  2. “No deposit” in the headline, “minimum deposit” in the terms. Many offers advertised as no-deposit are deposit offers. Read the first lines of the terms.
  3. No licence you can verify. If the licence number does not appear on the regulator’s register with the casino’s domain listed, walk away.
  4. Requests for card details “to verify” before any play. A legitimate casino may verify a payment method before paying out, but a site asking for full card details and security codes at sign-up is a warning sign.
  5. Huge amounts. “EUR 500 no deposit” is almost certainly bait or comes with conditions that make it worthless.
  6. Apps or downloads from unknown links. Install nothing from a bonus link; casinos run in the browser.
  7. Messages from strangers. Offers sent by direct message, text or social media from accounts you do not know are a common phishing route.
  8. Countdown pressure. Timers that reset when you reload the page are designed to stop you reading the terms.

Our safe online casinos guide explains licence checks step by step, regulator by regulator.

UK rules on no-deposit bonuses

If you live in Great Britain, only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer you gambling, and their promotions follow these rules.

Rule What it means for no-deposit offers Since
Wagering cap of 10x Wagering attached to an incentive may not exceed 10 times; offers with no wagering are unaffected 19 January 2026
Mixed-product promotions banned An offer cannot require two types of gambling, such as a sports bet to unlock casino spins 19 January 2026
Verification before gambling You must be verified (name, address, date of birth) before playing, including with a bonus 7 May 2019
No wagering on deposits Your deposit balance can be withdrawn without a turnover condition; wagering may attach only to bonus funds Commission guidance on withdrawals
Fair and transparent terms Significant terms must be clear and easy to find before you claim Licence conditions and codes of practice

In practice, UK no-deposit offers are now mostly small numbers of free spins with low or no wagering. GAMSTOP self-exclusion applies to all UK-licensed online casinos, and a no-deposit offer from a UK site will not be available to anyone registered with it.

UK players

Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain (Gambling Act 2005). GAMSTOP self-exclusion only covers UKGC-licensed sites. The casinos in our list are not UKGC-licensed and are not aimed at UK residents, so their offers are not available to UK players. If you are in Great Britain, look for no-deposit offers only at operators on the Commission’s public register.

Wager-free alternatives at the casinos we list

Every welcome package below needs a deposit. The free-spin stages are where the wager-free value sits.

Rules that still apply to these spins

  • Free spins must be claimed within 24 hours and used within 7 days at the four Malta casinos.
  • A minimum qualifying deposit of EUR 20 applies to each stage; Winz.io’s wheel needs EUR 25.
  • Stages two to six need an opt-in before you deposit at Quickz, and bonuses need marketing consent.
  • At Spin Sweet, deposits by Skrill, Neteller or Paysafecard do not qualify. The same e-wallet exclusion applies to casino bonuses at the other three Malta casinos.
  • Players in Finland are excluded from the welcome offers at the four Malta casinos; Winz.io gives no bonuses to players from Sweden.
  • Your deposit must be wagered once before it can be withdrawn at the Malta casinos (three times for fiat deposits at Winz.io).

Skipping the match bonuses

The odd-numbered stages of these packages are deposit-match bonuses with 30x to 45x wagering on deposit plus bonus and a 48-hour deadline. Those are much harder to clear than the free spins. You can usually decline them and still take the free-spin stages; ask support how to opt out before depositing, because the first-deposit bonus at Quickz is activated automatically. Our welcome bonuses guide explains how to read deposit-match terms, and the free spins bonuses page compares more free-spin offers.

The deposit-match stages: a worked example

The free-spin stages are only half of each package on our list. The other half is a deposit-match bonus, and it works very differently. Here is the first stage at Taste Vegas, from its published terms.

  1. You deposit EUR 100 and receive a 100% match: EUR 100 of bonus money.
  2. Wagering on the first stage is 45x deposit plus bonus: 45 x EUR 200 = EUR 9,000 of bets.
  3. The maximum bet with bonus money is EUR 5, so at least 1,800 spins are needed at the top stake.
  4. The deadline is 48 hours after you claim the bonus.
  5. At a 96% return, the expected loss on EUR 9,000 of bets is EUR 360, nearly twice your deposit plus bonus.

That is why we describe the free spins, not the match bonuses, as the alternative to a no-deposit offer. Most players who take the match bonus will lose the deposit trying to clear it. The free spins carry no such condition.

Why the UK capped wagering

The Gambling Commission said the 10x cap “decreases the likelihood of harm, reduces complexity, and improves transparency”. Before the change, wagering of 35x to 65x was common in Great Britain, as it still is at many casinos licensed elsewhere. High multiples keep players betting long after the bonus has, on average, been lost, which is the opposite of what a “free” offer suggests.

The Commission’s package also banned promotions that mix gambling products, such as an offer that requires a sports bet before casino spins are released. Both rules came into force on 19 January 2026, after the original date of 19 December 2025 was moved back. For players, the result is fewer headline-grabbing offers and more offers that can realistically be turned into cash.

No-deposit offers for existing players

New-player offers get the attention, but casinos also give existing customers no-deposit rewards: free spins on a new game, a birthday bonus, loyalty points converted to bonus money, or a “we miss you” offer after a period of inactivity. The same checks apply: wagering, cap, game, expiry. Two extra points are worth knowing.

  • Win-back offers can be a warning sign for you. If a casino sends you free spins after you stopped playing, ask yourself why you stopped. If it was to cut down, the offer is designed to undo that decision.
  • Marketing consent controls them. The casinos on our list require marketing consent to claim bonuses. Withdrawing consent stops the offers, and self-exclusion should stop all marketing.

Three kinds of free spins compared

“Free spins” covers three very different offers. Knowing which one you are looking at tells you most of what it is worth.

Type How you get them What happens to winnings Typical catch
No-deposit free spins On registration, sometimes with a code Usually bonus money with wagering Low cap on what you can withdraw; strict KYC
Deposit free spins with wagering With a qualifying deposit Bonus money that must be wagered (in the UK, no more than 10x) Wagering plus expiry
Wager-free free spins With a qualifying deposit at the casinos on our list Paid as cash, up to a cap You must deposit; caps per stage

Why the slot and its volatility matter

Free spins are always tied to a named game, and the game shapes the outcome. Two numbers matter. Return to player (RTP) sets the long-run average, so a higher figure means more back on average. Volatility describes how that return is spread: low-volatility slots pay small amounts often, high-volatility slots pay rarely but sometimes a lot.

With a capped no-deposit offer, volatility works against you in an odd way. A high-volatility slot is more likely to return nothing from 20 spins, and when it does hit big, the cap removes most of the win. A low-volatility game is more likely to leave a small balance that survives wagering. With wager-free spins capped at EUR 1,000 per stage, the cap is high enough that a big feature can still pay out in full most of the time.

Casinos choose the games, and the same title can run at different RTP settings at different sites. Open the game’s information or help panel before you play to see the RTP the casino actually uses. If it is not shown, assume it may be one of the lower settings.

What happens to wager-free spin winnings, step by step

Here is the full path at one of the four Malta casinos on our list, using their published terms.

  1. Opt in before depositing. Free-spin stages are the second, fourth and sixth deposits. At Quickz, stages two to six must be activated before you pay in.
  2. Deposit at least EUR 20 with an eligible method (not Skrill, Neteller or Paysafecard).
  3. Claim the spins within 24 hours. You receive one spin per EUR 1 deposited, up to the stage maximum (two per EUR 1 on the second stage at Taste Vegas).
  4. Play them within 7 days on the named game. Each spin is worth EUR 0.10.
  5. Winnings go to your cash balance with no wagering, up to EUR 1,000 for that stage.
  6. Withdraw under the normal rules: your deposit must have been wagered once, the minimum withdrawal is EUR 20, and caps of EUR 5,000 per 24 hours and EUR 20,000 per 30 days apply. Verification must be complete.

Speed of payout after that depends on the method and on verification; our fast payout casinos guide compares the stated times.

Cashback and loyalty as alternatives

For regular players, cashback can be worth more over time than any one-off offer. It returns a percentage of net losses over a period, usually a week. Quickz advertises up to 20% weekly cashback, and Taste Vegas states 10% for all players, rising to 20% through its loyalty levels. Before you count on it, check three things:

  • Cash or bonus? Cashback paid as cash is worth its face value. Cashback paid as bonus money comes with wagering.
  • Net losses over what period? Weekly cashback on net losses pays nothing in a week you finish ahead.
  • Which games count? Some schemes exclude live casino or table games.

Cashback softens losses; it does not change the house edge. A player who loses EUR 200 in a week and receives 10% back has still lost EUR 180.

No-deposit rules outside the UK

Bonus rules differ by country, and an offer that is legal in one place may be banned in another.

  • Sweden: casinos with a Swedish licence may only offer a bonus on the player’s first gambling occasion (Spellag 14 kap. 9 §), so ongoing no-deposit offers do not exist in the licensed Swedish market. Our page on casinos without a Swedish licence explains the risks of playing outside that system.
  • Netherlands: only operators licensed by the Kansspelautoriteit may offer online games to Dutch players. Offers from unlicensed sites are not lawful in the Netherlands, whatever they promise.
  • Finland: the four Malta casinos on our list exclude Finnish players from their welcome offers.
  • United States: none of the casinos on this page accepts US players.

For a country-by-country view of which licence you need, see our legal online casinos guide.

Bonus terms glossary

  • Wagering requirement: the total you must bet before bonus money becomes withdrawable, stated as a multiple.
  • Wagering base: what the multiple applies to: winnings, bonus, or deposit plus bonus.
  • Maximum cashout (max conversion): the most bonus money that can turn into cash; 5x the bonus at the four Malta casinos on our list.
  • Game weighting: the share of each bet that counts towards wagering.
  • Maximum bet: the highest stake allowed while a bonus is active.
  • Expiry: the deadline to use the bonus or spins and finish wagering.
  • Wager-free: winnings are paid as cash with no wagering, usually up to a cap.
  • Opt-in: activating a bonus before depositing; without it, no bonus is credited.
  • Bonus abuse: using offers against the terms, for example with several accounts.
  • KYC: identity, age and address checks required before payouts, and in Great Britain before any gambling.

Five myths about no-deposit bonuses

“It is free money”

It is a marketing budget with conditions. On average, the expected value after wagering is small or zero, as the worked examples above show.

“Bigger casinos give bigger no-deposit bonuses”

The old page claimed that large reputable casinos always offer larger bonuses. There is no such rule. In Great Britain, the largest operators are bound by the same 10x wagering cap as everyone else, and many established brands offer no no-deposit bonus at all.

“You can win big with no risk”

Your money is not at risk, but the maximum cashout limits what you can take home, often to EUR 50 or EUR 100. Big headline wins on no-deposit spins are capped before they reach you.

“A code from a forum is as good as the casino’s own”

Codes expire, are region-locked or never existed. If the offer is not on the casino’s own promotions page and in its terms, assume it is not valid.

“Offshore casinos give better no-deposit deals”

Sometimes the headline is bigger, but the terms are usually stricter, and your complaint options are weaker. A EUR 20 offer you cannot withdraw is worth less than a EUR 2 offer you can.

Checklist before you claim any bonus

  1. Is the casino licensed, and does the regulator’s register list its domain?
  2. Is the offer on the casino’s own site, with full terms?
  3. Is your country eligible?
  4. What is the maximum cashout?
  5. What is the wagering multiple, and on what base?
  6. Which games count, and what is the maximum bet?
  7. How long do you have?
  8. Do you need a deposit to withdraw winnings?
  9. Have you uploaded your documents?
  10. Have you set a deposit limit?

If you cannot answer every question from the casino’s own pages, do not claim the offer. The match deposit bonuses guide uses the same checklist for deposit offers.

How to claim a no-deposit bonus

When you do find a genuine offer at a licensed casino, the steps are usually the same.

  1. Check the licence and your country. Confirm the casino on the regulator’s register and read the restricted-countries clause.
  2. Read the bonus terms in full. Note the maximum cashout, wagering, game, maximum bet and expiry.
  3. Register with your real details. They must match your ID, or winnings will not be paid.
  4. Enter the code if one is required, at registration or in the promotions area, as the terms specify.
  5. Verify your account. Upload documents straight away; in Great Britain this happens before you can play.
  6. Play only eligible games within the maximum bet. Keep a note of the remaining wagering.
  7. Withdraw as soon as wagering is complete, and do not let a converted balance tempt you into a deposit you had not planned.

The old page advised contacting “the casino manager” if a bonus does not appear. Live chat is the right place; ask them to confirm in writing that the bonus has been credited and what terms apply to it.

Reading a bonus terms page in five minutes

Bonus terms are long, but the clauses that decide value are usually in the same places. A quick routine:

  1. Search the page for “max”. That finds the maximum bet, maximum cashout and maximum conversion clauses in seconds.
  2. Search for “x” next to a number (35x, 40x) to find every wagering multiple, then read the sentence around it to see the base.
  3. Search for “days” and “hours” to find every deadline: claim, use, wager.
  4. Search for “excluded” to find excluded games, countries and payment methods.
  5. Look for a version number and date. Save a copy or screenshot of the terms on the day you claim, in case they change.

If the welcome page and the general bonus terms disagree, follow the stricter one and ask support which applies. Spin Sweet’s maximum bet (EUR 10 in the welcome terms, EUR 5 in the general terms) is a live example.

If a bonus goes wrong

Bonuses cause more complaints than any other casino feature. If winnings are removed or a bonus is not credited:

  • Ask live chat for the exact clause the casino relied on, in writing.
  • Compare it with the terms you saved when you claimed.
  • Use the casino’s formal complaints procedure if you disagree, and keep the reference number.
  • Escalate to the dispute body named in the terms: eCOGRA for the four Malta casinos on our list. For UK-licensed casinos, it is the approved ADR provider the operator names.

Do not open a new account or claim another offer while a dispute is open, because that can be treated as a separate breach of the terms. Keep your messages short and factual. A clear timeline with screenshots of your bets and balance is the most persuasive evidence in any dispute.

Who should avoid no-deposit bonuses

No-deposit offers are designed to turn visitors into depositing players. If you have set yourself a rule not to gamble, or are trying to cut down, a “free” offer is a common way back in. Online gambling is for adults only: 18+, or older where local law sets a higher age. Anyone registered with a self-exclusion scheme should not look for workarounds: GAMSTOP covers UK-licensed sites, and offshore sites that are not covered are not a safe alternative. If you are not sure, our responsible gambling page lists support services by country; in the UK, the National Gambling Helpline run by GamCare is on 0808 8020 133, and Gambling Therapy (gamblingtherapy.org) offers free support internationally.

How we check bonus offers

Each offer on this page comes from the operator’s own welcome page and bonus terms, checked on 6 and 7 October 2026. For the casinos in our list we record the headline, wagering multiple and base, maximum bet, expiry, maximum conversion, free-spin value and cap, excluded countries and excluded payment methods. Where a casino’s documents contradict each other, as with Spin Sweet’s maximum bet, we show the stricter figure and say why. Desk research is our method: we have not claimed these bonuses ourselves, and the expected-value figures above are calculations, not results from our own play. Bonus terms count for 15% of each casino’s rating under the weighted method on our how we rate casinos page, where a wager-free offer scores higher than a bigger offer with heavy wagering.

Frequently asked questions

What is a no deposit bonus?

It is a casino offer credited without a payment, usually free spins or a small amount of bonus cash given at registration. Winnings are normally capped and often have to be wagered before they can be withdrawn.

Do any of the casinos on this page offer a no deposit bonus?

No. As of 7 October 2026, none of the casinos we list has a no-deposit offer. They offer free spins with no wagering on the winnings, which require a deposit to unlock.

Who can get a no deposit bonus?

Adults in countries where the casino operates and the offer applies, who pass identity checks. The minimum age is 18 in most countries but higher in some, such as 21 for casinos in Estonia. Offers are limited to one per person, household and device.

Can I withdraw winnings from a no deposit bonus?

Yes, if you meet the terms: complete any wagering, stay within the maximum bet, pass verification and respect the maximum cashout. Some casinos also require a small deposit before paying no-deposit winnings; check the terms first.

Are no deposit bonuses really free?

You do not pay to claim them, but they are designed to lead to deposits, and the expected value after wagering is small or zero at many casinos. Treat them as a trial of the casino, not as income.

What is better: no deposit bonus or wager-free free spins?

If you were going to deposit anyway, wager-free free spins are usually worth more, because winnings are paid as cash and caps are higher (EUR 1,000 per stage at the casinos on our list). If you only want to try a casino without paying, a genuine no-deposit offer at a licensed site is the only option.

Do I need a bonus code for a no deposit bonus?

Sometimes. The casino’s own promotions page and terms say whether a code is needed and where to enter it, usually at registration. Codes from third-party sites that do not match the casino’s own terms are often expired or invalid.

Why were my no deposit bonus winnings cancelled?

The usual reasons are a second account, a bet above the maximum, play on excluded games, unmatched identity details or claiming from an excluded country. Ask the casino for the clause in writing, and use its complaints procedure if you disagree.
