A mobile-friendly casino is one where everything works on a phone, not just the slots: sign-up, cashier, identity uploads, deposit limits and self-exclusion, live tables and support. Most casinos now run in the mobile browser with HTML5 games, so there is nothing to install. Real-money casino apps in the App Store and Google Play are allowed only for operators licensed where the app is offered, which is why offshore casinos are almost always browser-only. This page explains what to check on mobile, compares browser play with apps, and covers payments, security and limits, using the terms of the casinos we list, read on 7 and 8 October 2026.

Disclosure: 99casinos.com may earn a commission if you sign up through links on this page. The casinos below run in the mobile browser; none of them is licensed in the UK.

How we judged mobile play

The mobile score is part of our general method, described in how we rate casinos. For this page we looked at what a phone user needs most: sign-up and log-in on a small screen, mobile payment methods, whether limits and self-exclusion are easy to reach, and the published terms that apply equally on every device. We read the casinos’ own pages and terms; we did not install anything or play on test devices, and we do not publish loading times or ratings of individual phone models.

Browser, app or home-screen shortcut?

Option How it works Advantages Drawbacks
Mobile browser Open the casino’s site in Safari, Chrome or another browser Nothing to install; always the current version; works with any licence Depends on a good connection; browser tabs can log you out
Store app (App Store, Google Play) A native app reviewed by Apple or Google Store review; device features such as Face ID Only for operators licensed where the app is offered
Home-screen shortcut or web app Save the site to the home screen from the browser menu App-like launch without a download Same as the browser in practice
Downloaded APK (Android) An app file installed from the casino’s website An app where the store will not list one Bypasses store review; higher security risk

For the casinos on this page, the browser is the way to play. A shortcut on the home screen gives you one-tap access, and the site updates itself. It also means your account, balance and limits are the same whether you open the casino on your phone, a tablet or a computer.

Why offshore casinos rarely have store apps

Apple’s App Store Review Guideline 5.3.4 requires real-money gaming apps to hold the licences and permissions needed in every location where the app is used, to be geo-restricted to those locations, and to be free to download. Google Play allows real-money gambling apps only from approved, licensed operators in a list of countries that includes the UK, Ireland, Canada, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Spain and the US (in specified states), after an application process. A casino licensed in Malta or Anjouan that serves players in many countries cannot meet those conditions for each of them, so it offers its site in the browser instead.

That is not a disadvantage in itself. HTML5 games run the same way in a browser as in an app, with the same RTP and rules. Adobe Flash, which once made mobile play difficult, reached its end of life on 31 December 2020, and game studios have long since moved to HTML5.

What to check on a mobile casino

Area What good looks like What to watch for
Sign-up and log-in Short forms; secure log-in by code or password manager Fields that do not fit the screen; codes sent by unencrypted email only
Cashier Apple Pay or Google Pay, cards and instant bank transfer Methods that do not qualify for the bonus you want
Identity checks Upload ID and proof of address with the phone camera Requests to send documents by ordinary chat or email
Limits and self-exclusion Reachable from the account menu in two or three taps Limits that can only be set by email
Games Search and filters; RTP shown in the game panel Desktop-only titles mixed into the lobby
Live tables Portrait mode with readable bet buttons Streams that drop on mobile data
Support Live chat inside the site Chat windows that cover the cashier

Games on a small screen

Slots adapt best. Most current titles from studios such as Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO and Relax Gaming are designed for phones first, with portrait layouts, large spin buttons and the paytable a tap away. The game’s information panel shows the RTP setting in use, which matters because studios offer several settings and the casino chooses one. Our guides to online slots explain RTP and volatility.

Table games and live tables need more care. Roulette layouts are crowded on a small screen, so use the racetrack view or saved bets where offered and check your chips before the timer ends. Game shows built around a wheel are easier to follow in portrait. Progressive jackpot games behave exactly as on desktop; the jackpot is shared across devices.

Verifying your account from a phone

Identity checks are easier on a phone than on a laptop, because the camera is the scanner. The MGA casinos here may ask for ID and proof of address at deposit or before a withdrawal, and for source of funds at higher amounts. A smooth upload usually looks like this:

  1. Open the verification or documents section in the account menu.
  2. Photograph your passport, ID card or driving licence in good light, with all four corners visible and no glare.
  3. Upload a recent proof of address, such as a utility bill or bank statement, as a PDF or a clear photo.
  4. If asked for a selfie or a photo of your card, cover the middle digits of the card number and keep the first six and last four visible.
  5. Wait for confirmation before your first withdrawal; processing within 72 hours of completed verification is the standard in these casinos’ terms.

Signing in by phone number

Slot Pony, Taste Vegas, Quickz and Spin Sweet use a passwordless sign-in: you enter your mobile number and confirm with a code. It suits phone play, because there is no password to type or forget, and it avoids the risk of a password reused from another site. The trade-off is that your phone number becomes the key to the account. Protect it with a PIN on your SIM where your network offers one, a screen lock, and an alert from your network if the SIM is moved to another device. If you change numbers, update the casino before you lose access to the old one.

Paying on mobile

Casino Deposit methods listed Notes
Slot Pony Instant bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Jeton, Revolut Skrill, Neteller and Paysafecard deposits do not qualify for bonuses
Taste Vegas Instant banking, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Jeton, AstroPay Card Same bonus exclusions
Quickz Instant banking, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Jeton, AstroPay Card E-wallets not eligible for casino deposit bonuses
Spin Sweet Instant bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Jeton, Revolut Same bonus exclusions

Apple Pay is the quickest mobile route at all four: it uses a card already stored on the phone and confirms with Face ID or Touch ID. Withdrawals normally go back to the method you deposited with, so choose one you can also withdraw to; instant bank transfers are usually the simplest for payouts once your account is verified. Our payment methods hub and the pages on Visa and Mastercard casinos and Trustly casinos cover individual methods.

Minimum deposits and withdrawals are EUR 20 at the four casinos, and withdrawals are limited to EUR 5,000 per rolling 24 hours and EUR 20,000 per rolling 30 days, the same on mobile as on desktop.

Bonuses work the same on mobile

There is no separate mobile bonus at these casinos. The welcome terms apply whatever the device: a EUR 5 maximum bet while a bonus is active, 48 hours to complete wagering on the match stages, and live casino and RNG table games counting 0% towards wagering. Wager-free welcome spins are released at one per EUR 1 deposited and must be claimed within 24 hours, which is easy to miss on a phone if you deposit and close the tab. Our page on welcome bonuses compares the offers in full.

Live dealer tables on a phone

Live tables stream video continuously, so they use far more data than slots and depend on a stable connection. Play them on Wi-Fi where you can, and expect the stream quality to adjust when the signal drops. Most live games offer a portrait layout for phones, with the betting grid below the video. If a stream freezes after you have placed a bet, the round normally completes on the server and the result appears in your history; check it there rather than placing the bet again. Our guide to live dealer casinos explains studios, house edges and table limits.

Mobile casinos in licensed markets

In countries with their own licensing, mobile play often looks different. UKGC licensees can publish store apps in the UK, and many do. Swedish licensees verify players with BankID, the national electronic identity, which also checks the player against the Spelpaus self-exclusion register. Danish licensees use MitID, and ROFUS registration works the same way. If you live in one of these countries, a locally licensed casino gives you those protections on your phone; our guide to legal online casinos sets out the rules by country.

When the site does not behave

  • Logged out repeatedly: your browser may be blocking cookies or clearing them on exit. Allow cookies for the casino’s domain.
  • Game will not load: close other tabs, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and update the browser.
  • Cashier pop-up blocked: allow pop-ups for the site, or open the cashier from the account menu.
  • Bet placed but the round froze: check the game history before betting again; rounds normally complete on the server.
  • Verification upload fails: reduce the photo size or use a PDF, and make sure all edges of the document are visible.

If a problem affects your balance, contact live chat straight away and ask for a written confirmation of what happened.

Staying secure on your phone

  • Type the casino’s address yourself or use a saved shortcut; do not follow links in text messages that ask you to log in or verify.
  • Use the website rather than APK files from unknown sources.
  • Keep the phone’s operating system and browser updated.
  • Use a screen lock, and do not let others use your phone while you are logged in.
  • Avoid public Wi-Fi for deposits and document uploads, or use your mobile data instead.
  • Upload documents through the casino’s secure upload, not by chat or ordinary email.

Controlling play on a device that is always with you

Phones make gambling available at any hour, which is why limits matter more on mobile. The UK Gambling Commission reports that around half of online gamblers have gambled on a smartphone, and the share is much higher among younger adults. Set deposit and session limits in the casino account before your first deposit; at the four casinos here, decreases take effect at once and increases only after 24 hours. Reality checks remind you how long you have been playing.

Phone-level tools help as well. Screen Time on iPhone and Digital Wellbeing on Android can limit time in the browser or block the casino site, and gambling-blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker blocks gambling sites across browsers and apps. Self-exclusion at these casinos covers only the site where you set it, so if you want a break from all of them, exclude at each and add a blocker.

Before your first mobile deposit

  • Check the operator name and licence number in the footer against the regulator’s register, the same as on desktop.
  • Confirm the casino accepts players from your country; the four casinos above exclude Finland from their welcome offers and do not accept UK or US players.
  • Choose a deposit method you can also withdraw to, and check whether it qualifies for the bonus.
  • Set a deposit limit in the account menu before paying.
  • Upload your verification documents early, while you have them to hand.
  • Save the site to your home screen so you always open the real address.

None of these takes more than a few minutes, and together they prevent most of the problems mobile players report: blocked withdrawals, missed bonuses and lookalike sites.

UK players: these casinos are not for you

Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain, under the Gambling Act 2005 as extended to overseas operators by the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014. None of the casinos on this page holds a UKGC licence, and none of them is aimed at UK residents. UK players looking for a mobile casino should use a UKGC licensee, many of which offer store apps. GAMSTOP self-exclusion only covers UKGC-licensed sites, and UKGC protections such as the 10x cap on bonus wagering in force since 19 January 2026 do not apply offshore. If you live in Great Britain, choose a UKGC-licensed casino and check it on the Commission’s public register.

Play safely

If you find yourself opening a casino on your phone without meaning to, that is a signal to set tighter limits or take a break. Gambling is for adults only: 18+ in most countries, and higher in some (21 for casinos licensed in Estonia, for example). Set a deposit limit before you claim anything, treat any bonus as entertainment rather than income, and stop if you are chasing losses. In the UK, the National Gambling Helpline run by GamCare is free on 0808 8020 133, around the clock; BeGambleAware and Gambling Therapy offer support in other countries. Our responsible gambling guide lists tools and helplines by country.

Frequently asked questions

What is a mobile-friendly casino?

A casino whose whole site works properly on a phone: registration, cashier, identity uploads, limits and self-exclusion, games and live tables, and support. Most casinos today run in the mobile browser using HTML5, so no download is needed.

Do I need an app to play casino games on my phone?

No. The casinos on this page run in the mobile browser. Real-money casino apps on the App Store and Google Play are only allowed for operators licensed in the countries where the app is offered, so offshore casinos rarely have one.

Is it safe to download a casino APK file?

It carries more risk than using the browser. An APK installed outside Google Play has not passed Google’s review for real-money gambling apps. If you do not need an app, use the casino’s website in your browser instead.

Can I deposit with Apple Pay at a mobile casino?

At some. Slot Pony, Taste Vegas, Quickz and Spin Sweet list Apple Pay in their cashiers, alongside cards and instant bank transfers. Check whether your deposit method qualifies for any bonus before you pay.

Are mobile casino games the same as on desktop?

Usually yes. Modern slots and live tables are built in HTML5 and run on both, with the same RTP and rules. A few older titles and some table layouts are desktop-only or switch to a simplified view on small screens.

How can I limit my gambling on my phone?

Set deposit and session limits in the casino account, use the phone’s own screen-time controls, and consider gambling-blocking software that works across sites and apps. National self-exclusion schemes apply only to casinos licensed in that country.
