99 Casinos is an independent guide to online casinos, bonuses, payment methods and casino games, written for an international English-speaking audience. The domain has a long history: the first capture of 99casinos.com in the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine is dated 28 April 2003. Since October 2026 the guides have been rewritten one by one to a single standard: checked facts, named sources, dated offers and a published rating method.
This page explains what we publish, who signs it, how it is paid for and where our limits are.
What we publish
The site is organised around the questions readers bring to it:
- Which casino? Ranked lists such as the best online casinos and new casinos, each backed by an individual review with the licence details.
- Which offer? Bonus guides such as welcome bonuses and no deposit bonuses, with the wagering worked through in numbers.
- How do I pay? The payment methods hub covers e-wallets, cards, bank transfers and vouchers, with deposit and withdrawal limits.
- How does the game work? Guides to slots and table games, plus the software studios behind them.
Our history, in brief
Archived pages from 2003 show 99casinos.com as a simple directory of casino links. Later versions added reviews, bonus pages, game guides and payment guides. Much of that material had gone stale by 2026: brands that no longer trade, payment services that have shut down, and claims that could not be checked. We are working through it page by page. Pages that can be corrected are rewritten in place; pages that cannot are retired or redirected to a current guide.

Who writes for 99 Casinos
Two bylines sign current pages. Bruce Marshall writes guide and news pages, and the 99 Casinos Editorial Team signs pages researched and edited jointly, including these policy pages. On every refreshed page one byline is the author and the other is the named reviewer who checks the facts against the listed sources.
Older versions of this page promised that “experts test every casino” and that reviews were “100% fair”. We removed those lines because we could not document them. What we can document is the method: the sources on each page, the review step and the scoring rules.
How we work
- Desk research, stated as such. We read operators’ terms, bonus rules and payment pages, and look licences up in regulators’ registers. We do not describe deposits, withdrawals or playing sessions that did not take place.
- Licence first. Our rating method gives licensing the largest weight, and some checks block a listing whatever the score.
- Dated facts. Offers, limits and legal thresholds carry the date we checked them.
- Corrections. Errors are fixed and noted under our editorial policy.
Where we draw lines
Pages written for readers in the Netherlands list only operators licensed by the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA). Our pages about Sweden and Denmark carry no casino brands at all, only information about the licensing rules and the help available. None of the casinos we list holds a UK Gambling Commission licence, so none is aimed at readers in Great Britain, where only UKGC licensees may offer gambling.
Funding
99 Casinos is paid through affiliate commission. Links that begin with /go/ take you to a casino with a tracking code, and the operator may pay us if you register or deposit. You pay nothing extra. Commission never changes a score, a fact or a warning; the editorial policy explains how that separation is kept.
Play safely
Gambling is for adults (18+, or older where local law says so) and should only be paid for with money you can afford to lose. Our responsible gambling page lists free helplines and self-exclusion schemes country by country. To reach the editors, see contact us.
