This policy sets out how 99 Casinos researches, checks, dates, funds and corrects its pages. It applies to every page refreshed from October 2026, and older pages are brought into line as they are revised. In short: facts come from primary sources, every page names a reviewer, affiliate commission never changes a score, and mistakes are corrected in the open.
Sourcing standards
Each statement that can be checked (a licence, a regulator’s decision, a legal or tax point, a bonus amount and its wagering, a payment limit, a date) is compared with a live source before publication. Our order of preference:
- regulators’ registers and decisions, and legislation, for example the UK Gambling Commission, the Kansspelautoriteit, the Malta Gaming Authority, Spelinspektionen and Spillemyndigheden;
- the operator’s own terms and conditions, bonus rules and payment pages;
- payment providers’ and software studios’ own published information;
- established trade press, for dates and background only, never as the only source for a licence or a legal point.
Where a statement cannot be confirmed, it is removed or clearly attributed. Numbers carry a named source, and sources are listed at the foot of each refreshed page.
Fact-check and review
Every refreshed page has two names on it. One byline writes it; the other is the named reviewer, who checks each load-bearing fact against the listed sources before the page is published. A page with a claim the reviewer cannot trace back to a source does not go live until the claim is fixed or removed. The bylines are described on our about page, and we do not attach credentials or experience to them that we cannot document.
Update cadence
| Page type | Scheduled re-check | Immediate update when |
|---|---|---|
| Casino lists and reviews | At least every three months | A licence, offer, country restriction or regulatory decision changes |
| Bonus and payment guides | At least every three months | An offer ends or a payment method changes its terms |
| Game and studio guides | At least once a year | A studio is sold or a game is withdrawn |
| Policy pages | At least once a year | Our practice changes |
The “Updated” date on a page changes only when its content has been revised. Facts that move, such as offers, limits and legal thresholds, are dated in the text. A title carries a month and year only when the page was revised in that month.
Commercial separation
99 Casinos earns commission from some of the operators it lists. Links through addresses that start with /go/ are affiliate links: the operator may pay us when a reader registers or deposits. Readers pay nothing extra.
Commercial relationships may decide which operators we choose to feature and in what order they appear among those that pass our checks. They never decide a score, the facts we publish, the risks or regulatory actions we report, or the market rules below. This is how we keep that line:
- Scores come from evidence, not deals. Each mark in our rating method is tied to a fact on the page and its source. A score can only change when a fact changes.
- Gates apply to everyone. An operator that fails a licence, country or regulator check is not listed, whether or not it pays commission.
- Non-paying operators are covered too. We review and warn about operators we earn nothing from.
- No paid content. We do not accept payment for reviews, ratings, the removal of criticism or early sight of a page.
- Market rules are fixed. Pages for the Netherlands list only KSA-licensed operators. Our Swedish and Danish pages carry no casino brands. No listed casino is presented as available to players in Great Britain.
Conflicts of interest
People who write or review a page may not accept gifts, hospitality or payments from an operator it covers. Any personal link to an operator, such as a job, a shareholding or a family tie, must be declared, and that person then neither writes nor reviews pages about it. Operators do not see or approve pages before publication; like any reader, they may point out a factual error with evidence.
Corrections
Send corrections to [email protected], with the page address, the statement concerned and, ideally, a source. We check the point against primary sources and aim to reply within five working days. If the page was wrong, we correct it, update its date and add a short dated note saying what changed. Typing errors are fixed without a note. Errors about a licence, a legal point or a safety warning are handled first.
Balance and safety
We explain house edge, wagering requirements and return to player as they are, and we never suggest that a strategy guarantees a profit. Guidance on staying in control is on our responsible gambling page, and questions about this policy can go through contact us.
Questions about this policy
Does 99 Casinos earn money from the casinos it lists?
Yes, through affiliate links that pass through /go/ addresses. Commission can affect which operators we choose to feature, but never a score, a fact or a warning.
How are errors corrected?
Email [email protected] with the page address and the statement concerned. We check it against primary sources, correct verified errors and add a dated correction note to the page.
Who checks a page before it is published?
Every refreshed page names a reviewer, the second of our two bylines, who checks each load-bearing fact against the listed sources before the page goes live.
How often are pages updated?
Pages with operators are re-checked at least every three months and at once when a licence, offer or regulatory decision changes. Guides are reviewed at least once a year.
