Who Red Tiger is today

Red Tiger Gaming was founded in 2014. When NetEnt announced the purchase on 5 September 2019, Red Tiger had about 170 employees and operations in several countries, including Malta, the Isle of Man and Bulgaria, and was best known for its daily jackpot games. NetEnt paid in cash at an initial enterprise value of 200 million pounds, with up to 23 million pounds more payable in 2022 depending on Red Tiger’s results. A little over a year later, Evolution bought NetEnt itself, and Evolution’s financial reporting treats 1 December 2020 as the closing date. Red Tiger therefore sits inside the Evolution group today, alongside NetEnt, Big Time Gaming and Nolimit City.

The old version of this page listed Red Tiger as licensed by the “Malta Gambling Authority” and the “Alderney Gambling Control Commission”. The Malta regulator’s name is the Malta Gaming Authority, and the current licence shown on Red Tiger’s site is Evolution’s Maltese one. We could not confirm a current Alderney licence for Red Tiger, so that claim is gone.

What Red Tiger is known for

Red Tiger built its reputation on two things: steady releases of colourful, feature-packed slots, and jackpots that are guaranteed to drop. Its Daily Drop network attaches jackpots to many games that must pay out before a deadline, which gives players a visible reason to pick a jackpot-enabled version. The jackpot tiers, deadlines and contributions are set out in each game’s rules and can vary from casino to casino.

Since joining the Evolution group, Red Tiger has also made Megaways games using the mechanic of sister studio Big Time Gaming, including Gonzo’s Quest Megaways, a reworking of the famous NetEnt slot. New releases continue: Red Tiger’s site listed Thor’s Rage 2 (96.11%, up to 20,000x) and Stormfire (96.15%, up to 25,000x) among its autumn 2026 games, with exclusive early access at some operators before wider release.

Notable Red Tiger games: RTP and volatility

Red Tiger’s game pages publish RTP, hit frequency, maximum payout and a numeric volatility score; a higher score means larger, rarer wins. The score is Red Tiger’s own measure, so compare it only with other Red Tiger games.

Game Released RTP (Red Tiger page) Volatility score Hit frequency Max payout
Dragon’s Luck Apr 2016 96.24% 8.79 11.94% 1,380x
Rainbow Jackpots Sep 2016 96.14% 14.73 16.40% 1,054x
Mystery Reels Jun 2017 96.24% 13.86 9.53% 4,991x
Pirates’ Plenty Feb 2019 95.70% 17.41 32.98% 4,359x
Dynamite Riches Nov 2019 95.70% 17.12 29.52% 5,341x
Piggy Riches Megaways Jan 2020 95.71% 21.50 37.63% 10,474x
Gonzo’s Quest Megaways Jul 2020 95.77% 30.84 26.25% 20,972x

The older classics, Dragon’s Luck, Rainbow Jackpots and Mystery Reels, sit at about 96.1% to 96.2% with low volatility scores, while the 2019 to 2020 titles drop to about 95.7% and climb sharply in volatility. Gonzo’s Quest Megaways scores 30.84, more than three times Dragon’s Luck. Hit frequency tells a different story: Mystery Reels wins on only 9.53% of spins, yet its volatility score is moderate, because most wins come from frequent re-spins of small amounts rather than rare giant hits.

Note that the RTP of a jackpot version can include or exclude the jackpot contribution. Red Tiger’s rules screen states how the figure is calculated, so read it for the version you are playing.

How to check a Red Tiger game’s RTP at a casino

  1. Launch the slot at the casino, in demo mode if available.
  2. Open the menu and go to the game rules or help pages.
  3. Find the line on return to player. Red Tiger games with Daily Drop jackpots usually state whether the jackpot is included.
  4. Compare it with our table. A lower number means the casino runs a reduced configuration.
  5. If the casino’s version hides the RTP, pick another casino.

Over 1,000 euro of total spins, a 96.24% game has an expected cost of about 38 euro, and a 95.70% game about 43 euro. The difference grows with every spin, which is why the version matters for regular players.

Choosing a Red Tiger slot for your budget

With a small budget, start with the low scores: Dragon’s Luck (8.79) or Mystery Reels (13.86). They will not produce 20,000x wins, but they keep the balance moving. Pirates’ Plenty and Dynamite Riches win more often (around 30% of spins) and sit in the middle. Piggy Riches Megaways and Gonzo’s Quest Megaways are for players who accept long dry spells in exchange for a large ceiling. Keep the stake low enough that the bonus round has time to arrive.

Red Tiger and bonuses

Red Tiger games often count fully towards wagering at casinos, but jackpot wins and feature buys are frequently excluded while a bonus is active. Read the bonus terms for game restrictions before you start. Goldroll’s welcome offer in the card above uses 25x wagering on deposit plus bonus and a 5 euro maximum bet with bonus money; on 100 euro plus 100 euro of bonus, that means 5,000 euro of total stakes before withdrawal.

UK players

Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain (Gambling Act 2005), and GAMSTOP self-exclusion only covers UKGC-licensed sites. Goldroll is licensed in Anjouan, its terms bar UK residents, and it is not aimed at players in Great Britain. In the UK, play Red Tiger games at a UKGC-licensed casino and check it on the Commission’s public register. No casino on our list accepts players from the United States.
