NetEnt casinos are online casinos that carry slots from NetEnt, the Swedish studio behind Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest and Dead or Alive. Since the end of 2020 NetEnt has been part of Evolution AB, the Stockholm-listed live casino company, and it still releases slots under its own brand. Below you will find the casinos on our list whose sites show NetEnt games, a table of nine classic NetEnt slots with the RTP and volatility figures from NetEnt’s own game pages, and a short method for checking which RTP version a casino is running.

All figures were checked on 8 October 2026 on netent.com game pages. They describe the standard configuration of each game. A casino may legally run a lower RTP setting where its licence allows it, so the number inside the game always wins over any table, including ours.

We only list a casino here when its own site shows NetEnt games: Spin Sweet features Starburst on its homepage game shelf, and Goldroll names NetEnt among its studios (both checked 8 October 2026).

Who NetEnt is today

NetEnt began in Sweden in 1996 as Net Entertainment and became one of the best-known slot brands of the 2000s and 2010s. Its shares traded on Nasdaq Stockholm until Evolution bought the company. NetEnt’s board backed Evolution’s offer in June 2020, and on 1 December 2020 Evolution announced that the two businesses would operate as one group under the Evolution name. Evolution then streamlined NetEnt’s slot development and closed NetEnt’s own live casino offer, because live dealer games were already Evolution’s core business.

So when you read “NetEnt casino” in 2026, it means a casino that has the NetEnt slot catalogue, usually through an Evolution distribution contract that also brings Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming and Nolimit City titles. Older copy on this page spelled the name “Net Entertaiment”; that was a typo, and the studio never traded under that name.

What NetEnt is known for

NetEnt’s reputation rests on a few ideas that later became industry standards. Gonzo’s Quest (2010) popularised the Avalanche mechanic, where winning symbols drop away and new ones fall into place, with a multiplier that climbs on each consecutive win. Starburst (2012) showed that a simple, low-volatility game with clean design could become a long-running favourite. Twin Spin turned linked reels into a 243-ways format, and Dead or Alive (and its 2019 sequel) became the reference point for very swingy free-spin rounds.

The studio also built two of the best-known jackpot networks in Europe. Mega Fortune has paid some of the largest online slot jackpots recorded, and Divine Fortune brought a three-tier jackpot to a medium-volatility base game. Because these jackpots are funded by a slice of every stake, the base-game return is lower than the headline RTP suggests; we explain that below and in our guide to how progressive slots work.

Notable NetEnt games: RTP and volatility

The table lists nine NetEnt classics with the figures shown on each game’s page at netent.com. NetEnt publishes volatility as a numeric score rather than a word; a higher score means bigger, rarer wins. Maximum payout is shown as a multiple of the stake.

Game Released RTP (NetEnt sheet) NetEnt volatility score Max payout Key feature
Starburst 2012 96.08% 3.1 800x Expanding wilds with re-spins; pays both ways
Gonzo’s Quest 2010 95.97% 6.7 2,200x Avalanche reels with rising multipliers
Dead or Alive 2 2019 96.80% 9.9 1,600x (base sheet figure) Three free-spin modes, including Train Heist
Divine Fortune 2017 96.59% 6.0 1,000x (plus jackpots) Three-tier progressive jackpot
Mega Fortune 2009 96.60% 3.0 1,700x (plus jackpots) Network progressive jackpot wheel
Blood Suckers 2009 98.00% 2.7 900x Free spins with a pick-and-click bonus
Twin Spin 2013 96.55% 6.5 1,000x 243 ways; linked twin reels grow each spin
Jack Hammer 2010 96.96% 3.8 700x Sticky wins with re-spins
Finn and the Swirly Spin 2017 96.62% 4.4 300x 5×5 grid that clears in a spiral

Two readings help here. Blood Suckers, at 98.00%, returns more on paper than almost any other mainstream slot, but its low score means the wins are small and frequent. Dead or Alive 2 sits at the other end, with a score of 9.9: long dry spells are normal, and most of its value is concentrated in the free spins.

Starburst

Starburst uses a 5×3 grid with ten lines that pay both left to right and right to left. Expanding wilds on the middle three reels lock in place and trigger a re-spin, up to three times. With 96.08% RTP, a volatility score of 3.1 and an 800x top payout, it is a game for long, steady sessions rather than big hits.

Gonzo’s Quest

Each win in Gonzo’s Quest removes the winning symbols and drops new ones, and the multiplier rises from 1x up to 5x in the base game (and higher in free falls). The sheet lists 95.97% RTP and a 2,200x maximum. It was released in March 2010 and remains in most NetEnt lobbies.

Dead or Alive 2

Released in April 2019, the sequel offers three free-spin modes with different risk levels. NetEnt’s page lists 96.80% RTP and the highest volatility score in our table. Its marketing text mentions far larger wins in the Train Heist mode than the 1,600x sheet figure, so treat any single “max win” number with care and read the in-game rules.

Divine Fortune and Mega Fortune

Both are progressive jackpot slots. Divine Fortune lists 96.59% RTP, Mega Fortune 96.60%. In both games part of every stake feeds the jackpots, which means the share you get back from ordinary wins is lower than the total, and most players never hit the top prize. That is a fair trade only if you play them knowingly for the jackpot.

Blood Suckers, Twin Spin, Jack Hammer and Finn

Blood Suckers (98.00%) and Jack Hammer (96.96%) are older, gentle games with high listed returns. Twin Spin (96.55%) is the pick for players who like 243-ways action with a medium score of 6.5. Finn and the Swirly Spin (96.62%) clears its 5×5 grid in a spiral, a format NetEnt reused in later games.

How to check a NetEnt game’s RTP at a casino

Many studios, NetEnt included, offer casinos more than one RTP setting for the same game. The default on NetEnt’s site is usually the highest. A casino can choose a lower one where the regulator allows it, and you will not see the difference in the graphics. Here is how to check before you stake real money:

  1. Open the game in the casino (demo mode is enough where it is offered).
  2. Open the paytable or the “i” / game rules menu. Scroll to the end of the rules: the theoretical return to player is printed there, often as a line such as “The theoretical RTP of this game is 96.08%”.
  3. Compare that number with the studio’s sheet (our table above). If the in-game figure is lower, the casino is running a reduced version.
  4. For jackpot games, check whether the RTP quoted includes the jackpot contribution. The rules usually state the base-game return separately.
  5. If the casino will not show the RTP at all, treat that as a warning sign and play elsewhere.

Two practical notes. First, RTP is a long-run average over millions of spins, so it says nothing about your next session. Second, bonus terms often exclude or down-weight high-RTP games such as Blood Suckers for wagering; read the bonus terms before you rely on them. Our pages on welcome bonuses and free spins offers explain the usual rules.

NetEnt bonuses and free spins

Because Starburst is so widely known, it is one of the most common games for free-spin offers. When a casino attaches free spins to a NetEnt game, check three things: the value per spin, whether winnings are paid as cash or as bonus money with wagering, and the maximum you can cash out. The two casinos on our list run their welcome offers across several deposits, and their free-spin rounds are wager-free with a cap per stage; the exact terms are in each card above.

Deposit-match money is a different matter. Wagering requirements are 25x to 40x the deposit plus bonus on these two sites, and a maximum bet applies while you play with bonus funds. A slot’s RTP does not change these rules, but low-volatility games such as Starburst make it more likely that you finish wagering with something left, while high-volatility games such as Dead or Alive 2 make it more likely that the balance runs out first.

Choosing a NetEnt slot for your budget

Volatility matters more than RTP for how a session feels. A 0.2 percentage point gap in RTP is invisible over an evening, while the gap between a score of 3 and a score of 9.9 decides whether your balance drifts slowly or swings hard. Use the sheet scores as a rough guide:

Your session NetEnt games that fit Why
Small budget, long play Starburst, Blood Suckers, Jack Hammer Low scores (2.7 to 3.8): frequent small wins stretch the balance
Medium budget, some swings Gonzo’s Quest, Twin Spin, Divine Fortune Scores of 6.0 to 6.7: fewer wins, bigger features
Large budget, chasing features Dead or Alive 2 Score of 9.9: most value sits in rare free-spin rounds
Jackpot hunting Mega Fortune, Divine Fortune Part of each stake funds the jackpot; ordinary wins return less

A worked example shows the scale. At 96.08% RTP, the theoretical cost of 500 spins at EUR 0.20 on Starburst is 500 x 0.20 x 3.92% = EUR 3.92. The same 500 spins on Dead or Alive 2 at 96.80% cost EUR 3.20 in theory, but the real outcome of a single session on a high-volatility game can be far from that average in either direction. Pick the game whose swings you can afford, then set a loss limit before you start.

NetEnt jackpots: how the money is split

On a progressive slot, the RTP figure on the sheet is the total return, including the share of every stake that goes into the jackpot pools. The base game alone therefore returns less, and the difference only comes back to the rare player who lands a jackpot. Divine Fortune shows its three tiers (Minor, Major and Mega) inside a medium-volatility game with a 1,000x base maximum, so ordinary sessions still feel like a normal slot. Mega Fortune is built around a bonus wheel and a network jackpot shared across casinos, which explains its record-sized prizes.

If you only want the best return on ordinary play, a non-jackpot game such as Blood Suckers or Jack Hammer is the better choice. If you want a small chance at a life-changing prize, accept that you are paying for that chance with a lower base return, and keep stakes modest.

NetEnt security and fairness

NetEnt games run on certified random number generators. Before a slot can go live in a regulated market, it is tested by an accredited laboratory against that market’s technical rules, and the studio’s B2B entity must hold the relevant supplier licence. The Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission both require this for games supplied to their licensees.

That certification answers one question only: are the results random and is the RTP what the rules say? It does not mean every casino that carries NetEnt games is safe. Check the casino’s own licence too. Our safe casinos guide explains how to read a licence footer and look an operator up on its regulator’s register.

If you like NetEnt’s polish but want different maths, our pages on Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming and Evolution live casinos cover the rest of the group. For the full list of studios we track, see the gaming software hub, and for slot basics, our slots guide.

UK players

Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain (Gambling Act 2005). GAMSTOP self-exclusion covers UKGC-licensed sites only. The casinos in our list above do not hold a UKGC licence and are not aimed at UK residents. If you live in Great Britain, play at a UKGC-licensed site and check the operator on the Commission’s public register first. No casino on our list accepts players from the United States.

Play safely

18+ only (21+ in some countries). Slots and live games are entertainment with a built-in house edge, not a way to make money. Set a deposit limit before your first session, use the reality-check and time-out tools in the casino account, and stop when the budget is gone. Frequently asked questions

Who is behind NetEnt now?

NetEnt is part of Evolution AB. Evolution completed its purchase of NetEnt at the end of 2020, and since 1 December 2020 the two companies have operated as one group under the Evolution name. NetEnt remains a brand inside that group and still releases slots under its own name.

What is the RTP of Starburst?

NetEnt’s own game page lists Starburst at 96.08% RTP with a maximum payout of 800 times the bet. Some casinos can run a lower RTP configuration, so check the paytable or game rules inside the game before you play.

Which NetEnt slot has the highest RTP?

Of the classic NetEnt slots, Blood Suckers stands out: its game page lists 98.00% RTP. Jack Hammer (96.96%) and Dead or Alive 2 (96.80%) are also above the 96% mark on NetEnt’s sheets.

Is NetEnt still making new games?

Yes. NetEnt keeps releasing slots under its own brand inside the Evolution group, alongside sister studios Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming and Nolimit City. The NetEnt live casino tables were closed after the merger, so live games now come from Evolution itself.

Are NetEnt games fair?

NetEnt slots use certified random number generators and are tested before release in each regulated market where they are offered. Fairness is checked by accredited test labs and enforced by regulators such as the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission. That does not change the house edge: every spin is independent and the casino keeps a share over time.

Why was the old name written Net Entertaiment?

It was a typo. The company was founded as Net Entertainment in Sweden and later shortened its brand to NetEnt. There has never been a studio called Net Entertaiment.
