Cheng Gong is an ancient Chinese themed slot from Eyecon with 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 paylines. Databases list an RTP of 95.3% and a maximum win of 2,500 times the stake. The game stacks several features on one reel set: a princess fan pick bonus with multipliers, lantern free spins worth 15, 20 or 25 spins with multipliers of up to 10x, a Magic Dragon credit prize and an optional gamble. The name means “success” in Mandarin.
Eyecon has no public game sheet for Cheng Gong, and the databases disagree on several numbers, so each figure below names its source and the conflicts are shown side by side. We list no casino with a link: none of our partner lobbies carries Eyecon games. Slots are for adults only, 18+.

Theme and symbols
The reels are set in imperial China: a warrior, princesses, lanterns, fans and a golden dragon, framed in red and gold. Fluffy Spins lists the warrior as the wild symbol and the golden dragon as the premium paying symbol. Wins pay on 25 lines. In the UK version at Fluffy Spins the stake runs from GBP 0.01 to GBP 5 per spin, which matches the GBP 5 cap that UK-licensed casinos have applied to online slots since April 2025. Elsewhere the stake goes up to 12.50 per spin.
The features explained
Princess fan pick bonus
Three princess (geisha) scatters anywhere start a pick feature. The princesses offer two fans, and picking the right one wins a multiplier. Multipliers build up over the rounds and are combined and applied at the end. Since the result is decided by the game’s random number generator, the choice is presentation, not skill.
Lantern free spins
Three or more lantern scatters award free spins: 15, 20 or 25, depending on how many lanterns land. A lantern that appears during the free spins pushes the multiplier up, to as much as 10x. That is where most of the 2,500x potential sits: a long free spins round in which the multiplier climbs early pays far more than one where it stays low.
Magic Dragon bonus
Three dragons award a credit prize of 10x, rising to 50x and 100x the bet.
Gamble
After a win you can gamble it to double up, and keep going: a lucky run can reach 32 times the original win, which is five doublings in a row. At fair 50:50 odds, the chance of surviving all five is 1 in 32, about 3.1%. The gamble does not improve the expected return; it only widens the swings. Skip it if you are trying to make a budget last.
What 95.3% means for your stake
An RTP of 95.3% means the game keeps on average about 4.7% of all stakes over a very large number of spins. The table applies that to three stake levels over 500 spins.
| Stake per spin | 500 spins staked | Expected loss at 95.3% | Maximum win (2,500x) |
|---|---|---|---|
| GBP 0.25 | GBP 125 | GBP 5.88 | GBP 625 |
| GBP 1 | GBP 500 | GBP 23.50 | GBP 2,500 |
| GBP 5 | GBP 2,500 | GBP 117.50 | GBP 12,500 |
A 95.3% RTP is below the 96% that many modern releases target, so over long sessions Cheng Gong costs a little more per pound staked than the average new game. Whether sessions feel steady or streaky depends on the real volatility, which is where the sources split.
Free spins offers on Cheng Gong
Casinos sometimes attach free spins to a named game. If a spin offer names Cheng Gong, check three things: the value per spin, the wagering on winnings and the maximum cash-out. For example, 20 spins at GBP 0.25 put GBP 5 of stakes into play; at 95.3% the expected return is about GBP 4.77 before any wagering on the winnings. Our free spins guide shows how wagering changes that number.
How to play the Cheng Gong demo
- Open the demo at a casino or slot site that still offers it.
- Choose the stake you would really play.
- Read the help screen: note the wild, the princess, lantern and dragon rules, and the RTP shown by the casino.
- Play until you have reached the lantern free spins at least once, and watch how often the multiplier rises.
- Leave the gamble off during the demo so you see the game’s natural rhythm.
In Great Britain, licensed casinos must verify your age before you can open their free-to-play games (since 7 May 2019), so expect to register even for a demo there.
Where Cheng Gong is available
On 8 October 2026 the game had its own page in the lobby of Fluffy Spins, a casino licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. Casinorating also lists it at several large UK-facing brands. We have no commercial deal with UK-licensed casinos, so we do not link to them. None of our partner casinos lists Eyecon among its studios. If you play elsewhere, check the operator’s licence on the regulator’s register first; our safe casinos guide shows how.
Who Cheng Gong suits
- Suits: fans of Asian-themed slots who like several small features rather than one big bonus.
- Suits: UK players looking for a game that is still available at UK-licensed casinos with stakes from 1p.
- Less suited: players who want a high RTP: 95.3% is below the modern average.
- Less suited: anyone who needs studio-verified maths; Eyecon has no public game sheet for it.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Four features on one reel set: fan pick, free spins, dragon prize, gamble | RTP of 95.3% is below many modern slots |
| Free spins of 15 to 25 with multipliers up to 10x | Volatility and release date disputed between databases |
| Still listed at UK-licensed casinos, stakes from 1p | No studio game sheet |
Cheng Gong compared with other classic slots we cover
The table puts Cheng Gong next to four other older slots reviewed on this site, using the figures each review sources. It shows where Cheng Gong sits: a mid-range RTP, a higher maximum win than the Amusnet games and the most features of the group.
| Slot | Studio | Lines | RTP | Volatility | Maximum win |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cheng Gong | Eyecon | 25 | 95.3% | Disputed (low or high) | 2,500x stake |
| Hot Hot Fruit | Habanero | 15 | about 86% to 98% by version | Very high | 5,087x stake |
| Great Adventure | Amusnet | 25 | 96.44% | 3 of 5 | 1,000x line bet |
| Flaming Hot Extreme | Amusnet | 40 | 95.96% | 3 of 5 | 1,000x line bet |
| Tiara | Merkur | 10 | 97.81% | Not published | EUR 3,000 |
Two caveats apply. Maximum wins are quoted in different units, total stake for Eyecon and Habanero and line bet for Amusnet, so they are not directly comparable. And RTP figures are the defaults the sources list; a casino may run another setting, which the game help screen should show. Use the table as a starting point for your own demo sessions, not as a ranking.

Real-money play: UK and US players
Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain (Gambling Act 2005), and GAMSTOP self-exclusion covers UKGC-licensed sites only. At UK-licensed casinos, online slots follow extra rules: since 31 October 2021 a spin must last at least 2.5 seconds and autoplay and turbo features are banned, since 9 April 2025 the maximum stake is GBP 5 per spin, and since 21 May 2025 it is GBP 2 for players aged 18 to 24. None of our partner casinos accepts players from the United States.
