Yggdrasil casinos are online casinos that carry slots from Yggdrasil, the Malta-based studio behind Vikings Go Berzerk, Valley of the Gods and the Gigablox and Doublemax mechanics. Yggdrasil was founded in 2013 and is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, the UK Gambling Commission and other regulators. Below you will find nine notable games with the RTP, volatility and maximum win printed on Yggdrasil’s game pages, how to check the version a casino runs, and why no casino is listed on this page for now.

Figures were checked on yggdrasilgaming.com on 8 October 2026. Yggdrasil states maximum wins in euros at the maximum bet, not as a multiple of the stake, so we show them the same way.

None of the casinos we currently list confirms Yggdrasil games, so there is no casino list on this page for now. As far as we could verify on 19 October 2026, none of them names Yggdrasil among its game studios. When one does, we will add it here and score it with the method on our how we rate casinos page; our editorial policy explains how commercial deals are kept apart from scores. Until then, compare the casinos we do list on our best online casinos page or read our casino reviews.

What Yggdrasil is known for

Yggdrasil made its name with high production values and its own mechanics. The Vikings series, starting with Vikings Go Wild in 2015, became its best-known franchise. Valley of the Gods (2017) introduced a grid that unlocks with respins up to 3,125 ways. Later the studio branded its mechanics: Gigablox drops giant symbols onto the reels (Hades Gigablox), and Doublemax doubles a win multiplier on each consecutive win (Raptor Doublemax). It also runs jackpot games such as Empire Fortune and Joker Millions.

Yggdrasil also distributes games from partner studios under its YG Masters programme, so a casino’s “Yggdrasil” section may include titles made by smaller studios. The game’s information screen names the actual developer.

The Vikings series

Vikings Go Wild (96.3%, low-medium volatility) started the series in August 2015. Vikings Go Berzerk (96.1%, medium-high, up to EUR 93,910) followed in November 2016 with a rage meter: each Viking who fills his meter during free spins goes berserk and becomes wild. The series has since grown with further sequels.

Valley of the Gods

A high-volatility Egyptian slot (96.2%) where the grid starts locked and opens up with respins, up to 3,125 ways to win. Yggdrasil lists a maximum win of EUR 580,000.

Holmes and the Stolen Stones and Jokerizer

Holmes and the Stolen Stones is the gentlest game in our table: low volatility and the highest fixed RTP we found on Yggdrasil’s pages, 96.8%. Jokerizer is a fruit-style game whose RTP ranges from 88.8% to 98%, depending on the configuration and how you use the Joker mode. That range is the clearest reminder on this page to check the in-game figure.

Raptor Doublemax and Hades Gigablox

Both are modern high-volatility games at 96%. Raptor Doublemax (2021) doubles the win multiplier with each consecutive cascade and lists a maximum win of EUR 1,000,000. Hades Gigablox (2020) uses giant symbols and lists EUR 1,112,900.

Empire Fortune and Joker Millions

Both are progressive jackpot slots with a 94.3% headline RTP on Yggdrasil’s pages. As with any progressive, part of each stake builds the jackpot, so the return from ordinary wins is lower than on the studio’s standard slots. Our guide to progressive slots explains the trade-off.

How to check a Yggdrasil game’s RTP at a casino

  1. Open the game at the casino and tap the menu or “i” button.
  2. Open the game rules; the RTP of the running configuration is printed there.
  3. Compare it with the figure on Yggdrasil’s page (our table). A lower in-game number means a reduced configuration.
  4. For Jokerizer and other games with optional modes, check whether the RTP depends on the mode you choose.
  5. Check that the developer named in the rules is Yggdrasil itself, not a YG Masters partner, if you want the studio’s own maths.

A worked example: 1,000 spins at EUR 0.50 (EUR 500 staked) cost EUR 16.00 in theory on Holmes and the Stolen Stones at 96.8%, EUR 20.00 on Raptor Doublemax at 96%, and EUR 28.50 on Empire Fortune at 94.3%. Volatility decides how far a single session strays from those averages.

Yggdrasil bonuses and free spins

Yggdrasil slots often appear in free-spin offers and tournaments. Before you claim one, check the value per spin, whether winnings are paid as cash or as bonus money, and any cap. Read more in our guides to welcome bonuses and free spins.

What to check before you play Yggdrasil games with a bonus

Many casinos set a maximum bet while bonus funds are in play, a time limit for wagering and a cap on what a bonus can win. With high-volatility Yggdrasil games such as Raptor Doublemax or Hades Gigablox, a low bet cap and a short wagering window make a deposit bonus hard to clear, so read the casino’s full bonus terms before you deposit. Check the withdrawal caps too: a large win is only worth as much as the casino lets you take out each day and each month.

Yggdrasil security and fairness

Yggdrasil’s games are certified for each regulated market it supplies under the licences listed above. That certification covers the RNG and the published maths; the casino’s own licence is a separate question. Check it on the regulator’s register before you deposit, and remember that an offshore licence (Anjouan, for example) offers weaker player protection than an EU licence from the Malta Gaming Authority.

UK players

Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain (Gambling Act 2005). GAMSTOP self-exclusion covers UKGC-licensed sites only. The casinos we currently list hold offshore Anjouan licences, not UKGC ones, and their terms bar UK residents. If you live in Great Britain, play at a UKGC-licensed site and check the operator on the Commission’s public register first. No casino on our list accepts players from the United States.

Play safely

18+ only (21+ in some countries). Slots and live games are entertainment with a built-in house edge, not a way to make money. Set a deposit limit before your first session, use the reality-check and time-out tools in the casino account, and stop when the budget is gone. Free, confidential help is available from GamCare (National Gambling Helpline 0808 8020 133) and BeGambleAware.org. Our responsible gambling guide lists self-exclusion options by country.
