Pragmatic Play casinos are online casinos that offer games from Pragmatic Play, the Gibraltar-based studio behind Sweet Bonanza, Gates of Olympus and Big Bass Bonanza. Pragmatic is one of the most widely distributed suppliers in the world, with slots, a live casino, bingo and network promotions called Drops and Wins. Below are the casinos on our list whose own sites show Pragmatic games, a table of eight popular Pragmatic slots with the RTP printed on Pragmatic’s game pages, and a simple method to check the return a casino is really running.

Figures were checked on 8 October 2026 on pragmaticplay.com. Pragmatic’s public game pages list RTP but not a volatility rating, so for volatility we tell you where to find it in the game rather than guessing.

We order the list with the weighted method set out on our how we rate casinos page (licence, terms, payments, support and game range), and our editorial policy explains how commercial deals are kept apart from scores. We only list casinos whose own sites show Pragmatic Play games: Spin Sweet shows Gates of Olympus on its homepage, and Taste Vegas and Goldroll list Pragmatic among their studios (all checked 8 October 2026).

Who Pragmatic Play is today

Pragmatic Play launched under its current name in 2015 and grew fast by releasing new slots at a steady pace, often several per month. Its About page says the company is led by CEO Julian Jarvis from its headquarters in Gibraltar and is owned by a private group of investors led by Veridian (Gibraltar) Limited. Pragmatic’s English About page describes it as certified or licensed in more than 30 jurisdictions (its German page now says more than 40), including Great Britain (UK Gambling Commission) and Romania (ONJN Class II licence), with games certified by Gaming Laboratories International, Quinel and Gaming Associates.

What Pragmatic Play is known for

Three design choices define the modern Pragmatic slot. The first is the “pay anywhere” grid: Sweet Bonanza, Gates of Olympus and Starlight Princess pay for eight or more matching symbols anywhere on a 6×5 grid rather than on lines. The second is the tumble: winning symbols disappear and new ones fall in, so one spin can pay several times. The third is the stacked multiplier: random multiplier symbols land during tumbles, and in free spins their values add up across the round.

Pragmatic also has a strong line of “collect” games. Big Bass Bonanza and its many sequels put cash values on fish symbols that a fisherman wild collects during free spins. Wolf Gold uses a money respin with three fixed jackpots. And Great Rhino Megaways shows that Pragmatic licenses the Megaways mechanic, which was created by Big Time Gaming.

The studio’s release pace matters for players too. Popular games are quickly followed by sequels and seasonal versions, so the lobby you see is often dominated by variations of a few hits. Check that you are playing the version you think you are: “1000” or “Christmas” editions of a game can have different maths from the original.

Notable Pragmatic Play games: RTP and features

RTP figures come from each game’s page at pragmaticplay.com (the “Basic Game Info” box). Feature notes paraphrase the same pages.

Game RTP (Pragmatic page) Format Headline feature (Pragmatic page)
Sweet Bonanza 96.48% 6×5, pay anywhere, tumble Multiplier symbols 2x to 100x in free spins
Gates of Olympus 96.50% 6×5, pay anywhere, tumble Multipliers up to 500x in base game and free spins
Starlight Princess 96.50% 6×5, pay anywhere, tumble Multipliers 2x to 500x
Sugar Rush 96.50% 7×7 cluster pays Spot multipliers doubling up to 128x
Big Bass Bonanza 96.71% 5×3, 10 lines Money fish up to 2,000x; wild collects
The Dog House 96.51% 5×3, 20 lines Sticky wilds with multipliers in free spins
Wolf Gold 96.01% 5×3, 25 lines Money respins with three jackpots, Mega 1,000x
Great Rhino Megaways 96.50% Megaways, tumble Up to 20,000x the bet

Where is the volatility? Pragmatic does not publish a volatility rating on its public pages. Inside each game, the information screen shows a volatility indicator (usually a row of lightning bolts or a similar scale) next to the RTP. Use that, not a third-party label, because the figure is tied to the exact version the casino runs. As a general rule, the pay-anywhere multiplier games in our table swing much harder than Wolf Gold or the 20-line Dog House base game.

Sweet Bonanza

Eight to twelve or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid pay up to 50x, and four to six scatters trigger ten free spins. During free spins, multiplier symbols worth 2x to 100x can land; at the end of each tumble sequence their values are added together and applied to the win. RTP on Pragmatic’s page: 96.48%.

Gates of Olympus

Zeus sits beside a six-reel tumbling grid where 8 to 30 matching symbols pay up to 50x, boosted by multiplier symbols worth up to 500x. Four or more scatters give 15 free spins, during which every multiplier that lands on a winning spin is added to a running total. RTP: 96.50%.

Starlight Princess and Sugar Rush

Starlight Princess uses the same pay-anywhere maths as Gates of Olympus with multipliers between 2x and 500x. Sugar Rush is a 7×7 cluster game: winning symbols mark grid spots, and repeat hits on a spot add a multiplier that starts at 2x and doubles up to 128x. During free spins the marked spots last the whole round. Both list 96.50%.

Big Bass Bonanza

Three, four or five scatters give 10, 15 or 20 free spins in which wilds collect every visible money symbol, worth up to 2,000x. Every fourth wild retriggers the round with a 2x, then 3x, then 10x multiplier. RTP: 96.71%, the highest in our table.

The Dog House and Wolf Gold

The Dog House is a 5×3, 20-line slot whose wilds on reels 2, 3 and 4 carry multipliers and become sticky in free spins (96.51%). Wolf Gold has free spins with a giant symbol on reels 2 to 4 and a money respin where filling all 15 positions wins the Mega jackpot of 1,000x (96.01%).

Great Rhino Megaways

Great Rhino Megaways combines tumbling reels with more than 200,000 ways to win and a top prize of up to 20,000x the bet, according to Pragmatic’s page. In free spins the win multiplier rises by 1x with every tumble. RTP: 96.50%.

How to check a Pragmatic game’s RTP at a casino

Pragmatic, like most large studios, offers casinos several return settings for many games. You will not see the difference on the reels, so check the number before staking real money:

  1. Load the game at the casino and tap the “i” or menu button.
  2. Open the game rules. Pragmatic prints the theoretical RTP near the end of the rules, and for games with a feature buy or ante bet it often lists a separate RTP for each mode.
  3. Compare it with the studio figure in our table. A lower in-game number means the casino runs a reduced configuration.
  4. Check the volatility indicator on the same screen to see how swingy the version is.
  5. If the RTP is not shown at all, do not play that game there.

The same check works for every studio we cover. Our slots strategy guide explains why RTP is a long-run average and not a prediction for your session.

How pay-anywhere multipliers work in practice

The maths of Gates of Olympus, Starlight Princess and Sweet Bonanza explains why they feel so different from a line slot. In the base game, most tumbles pay small amounts: eight matching low symbols return a fraction of the stake. The value sits in rare spins where several large clusters land together with multiplier symbols, and in free spins where multipliers keep adding up for the rest of the round.

Here is a simple example of how Gates of Olympus free spins build. Say a tumble sequence pays 2x the stake in total and a 10x multiplier lands: the spin pays 20x and the running total multiplier for the round becomes 10x. If a later winning spin pays 3x and a further 5x multiplier lands, the total multiplier rises to 15x and that spin pays 45x. One good free-spin round can therefore pay hundreds of times the stake, while many rounds end with modest wins. That is what high volatility means in practice: the same 96.50% RTP is delivered through a few large results rather than many small ones.

The practical lesson is to size your stake to the volatility. On these games, a stake of 1% or less of your session budget gives you enough spins to reach the free-spin round a few times; a stake of 5% can end a session before the feature arrives.

Drops and Wins, tournaments and feature buys

Drops and Wins is Pragmatic’s network promotion. Casinos that opt in let their players take part in random cash drops and leaderboard tournaments on selected Pragmatic slots and live games. Prizes are paid by the network, so the same tournament can include players from many casinos. Each round has its own qualifying games, minimum bet and time window, all shown in a panel inside the game. Goldroll’s homepage, for example, advertises network promotions from Pragmatic Play among others.

Two cautions. Tournaments reward the number of spins or the size of wins, which nudges players to spin more or bet higher than planned; set your stake first and treat any prize as a bonus. And many Pragmatic games offer a feature buy (paying a fixed multiple of the stake to start free spins). The bought feature often has its own RTP and is much more volatile; some regulated markets do not allow it, and bonus terms usually ban it while you play with bonus money.

Pragmatic Play Live

Pragmatic also runs a live casino with roulette, blackjack, baccarat and game shows streamed from its own studios. It competes directly with Evolution, and a casino may carry one, the other or both. Live games usually count little or nothing towards bonus wagering; the casinos on our list build their welcome offers around slots and free spins. For a comparison of live suppliers, see our live dealer casinos page and our Evolution casinos guide.

Beyond slots: Pragmatic’s other products

Pragmatic lists several product lines on its About page besides video slots and the live casino: jackpot games, crash games, arcade-style titles, other RNG games and a player account management (PAM) platform that casinos can run on. For players this mostly shows up as variety in the lobby. Crash and arcade games run on very short rounds, which makes it easy to place many bets quickly, so the advice on stakes and limits applies to them even more than to slots. If a casino lists a Pragmatic game you do not recognise, open its rules first: the RTP and the bet range are printed there, as for any slot.

Choosing a Pragmatic slot for your budget

If you want Try Why
Steady play on a small budget Wolf Gold, The Dog House (base game) Line-based with frequent smaller wins
Big multiplier rounds Gates of Olympus, Starlight Princess, Sweet Bonanza Value concentrated in free spins with stacking multipliers
A collect mechanic Big Bass Bonanza Money symbols collected by wilds, retrigger ladder
Maximum top prize Great Rhino Megaways Up to 20,000x on Pragmatic’s page, but rare

A worked example puts RTP in proportion. On Big Bass Bonanza at 96.71%, 400 spins at EUR 0.25 (EUR 100 staked) have a theoretical cost of EUR 3.29. On Wolf Gold at 96.01%, the same 400 spins cost EUR 3.99 in theory. That EUR 0.70 gap is tiny next to the swings of a single session, which is why volatility and your loss limit matter more than the second decimal of RTP.

Our listed casinos compared for Pragmatic players

The three casinos above all show Pragmatic games, but their licences, bonuses and cashier options differ. The table summarises the facts from the cards; full terms are in each casino’s own bonus terms.

Casino Licence Welcome offer wagering Notes
Spin Sweet Malta Gaming Authority, MGA/B2C/1055/2024 (Elmst Limited) 40x deposit plus bonus; free spins wager-free E-wallet deposits do not qualify for the bonus; not available in Finland
Taste Vegas Malta Gaming Authority, MGA/B2C/1072/2024 (Elvel Limited) 45x on the first bonus, 35x on the third and fifth 1,500 wager-free free spins over six deposits
Goldroll Anjouan, ALSI-202506036-FI2 (Hundise Limited) 25x deposit plus bonus Terms bar the UK, US, Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Austria and Ontario

An EU licence from the Malta Gaming Authority gives you a regulator with a published complaints route (via approved ADR bodies) and stricter player-protection rules than offshore licences. An Anjouan licence is lighter-touch, so check the casino’s own terms and complaint process carefully before depositing.

Ante bets and other bet modes

Several Pragmatic slots offer an optional “ante bet” or “double chance” mode that raises the stake by a fixed share (often 25%) in exchange for a higher chance of triggering free spins. The RTP for each mode is listed in the game rules and can differ slightly from the main figure. Turning it on does not make the game cheaper to play: it raises the cost of every spin to buy more frequent features. Use it only if you have budgeted for the higher stake.

Pragmatic Play bonuses and free spins

Pragmatic games are a common choice for free-spin offers, Big Bass Bonanza and Sweet Bonanza especially. Before you claim one, check the value per spin, whether winnings are cash or bonus money, and any cap. On the three casinos above, deposit bonuses carry 25x to 45x wagering on deposit plus bonus, and maximum bets with bonus funds are EUR 5. Read our guides to welcome bonuses and free spins for how wagering works.

Pragmatic Play security and fairness

Pragmatic’s games are certified by independent test labs before they go live in each regulated market, and the studio holds supplier licences or certifications in each of those markets. This protects the integrity of the random results and the published RTP. It says nothing about the casino, so check the casino’s licence as well. For the full list of studios we cover, see the gaming software hub, and for slot basics our slots guide.

UK players

Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain (Gambling Act 2005). GAMSTOP self-exclusion covers UKGC-licensed sites only. The casinos in our list above do not hold a UKGC licence and are not aimed at UK residents. If you live in Great Britain, play at a UKGC-licensed site and check the operator on the Commission’s public register first. No casino on our list accepts players from the United States.

Play safely

18+ only (21+ in some countries). Slots and live games are entertainment with a built-in house edge, not a way to make money. Set a deposit limit before your first session, use the reality-check and time-out tools in the casino account, and stop when the budget is gone. Free, confidential help is available from GamCare (National Gambling Helpline 0808 8020 133) and BeGambleAware.org. Our responsible gambling guide lists self-exclusion options by country.
