Quickspin casinos are online casinos that carry slots from Quickspin, the Stockholm studio behind Big Bad Wolf, Sakura Fortune and Sticky Bandits. Quickspin has belonged to Playtech since 2016 and still publishes its games under its own name. Below you will find the one casino on our list whose own site names Quickspin, a table of eight Quickspin slots with RTP and volatility taken from Quickspin’s game pages and game sheets, and a short method for checking which RTP version a casino is running.

We read every figure on quickspin.com and the linked game sheets on 8 October 2026. Each slot ships with more than one maths model, so treat our table as the studio’s top setting, not a promise about any particular casino.

We score casinos with the weighted method on our how we rate casinos page (licence, terms, payments, support and game range). The list is short on purpose: we only show a casino here when its own site names Quickspin, and of our partner casinos that is Goldroll, whose homepage lists Quickspin among its studios and shows the Quickspin logo in its provider strip (checked 8 October 2026).

Who Quickspin is today

Quickspin was set up in Stockholm in 2011 by Daniel Lindberg, Joachim Timmermans and Mats Westerlund. The studio’s own history calls the founders “three slot-loving friends”, and the old version of this page got two things wrong about them: it spelled one name “Lindbergh” and claimed they had run NetEnt and Unibet, which we could not verify and have removed.

In 2016 Playtech bought the company. Quickspin’s about page calls that “a major milestone” and says the studio has since grown to about 100 people of more than 30 nationalities, spread over five countries. It remains a separate brand inside the Playtech group, with its own release calendar and its own platform.

Two details explain how Playtech and Quickspin fit together. The UK account number 38516 is the same one Playtech uses on its own site, and the Malta licence number is Playtech’s corporate supply licence. In other words, Quickspin games are distributed under group licences, which is normal for a studio owned by a large supplier. Our Playtech casinos page covers the parent company in more detail.

What Quickspin is known for

Quickspin made its name with polished, story-driven video slots rather than a huge catalogue. Big Bad Wolf (2013) is the best example: a fairy-tale slot with cascading wins where each run of cascades helps the wolf blow down a pig’s house, turning more symbols wild. It is still one of the studio’s most-played games, and Quickspin returned to it in 2021 with Big Bad Wolf Megaways, built on the Megaways engine that Big Time Gaming licenses to other studios.

A second trademark is player choice inside the bonus. Eastern Emeralds lets you pick from four free-spin options, and the game page spells out the trade-off: options with fewer spins carry higher volatility but a bigger win potential. Sticky Bandits added Quickspin’s Achievements Engine, which sets small in-game tasks and rewards them with tokens that unlock a feature.

Quickspin also tends to publish its maths openly. Most game pages link a game sheet with the RTP split between base game and bonus, a volatility score on a 1 to 5 scale, hit probabilities for “big”, “super”, “mega” and “epic” wins, and the highest payout seen in a simulation of a billion or more spins. That is more than many studios show, and it is why our table can quote volatility as a number rather than a vague label.

Notable Quickspin games: RTP and volatility

The table below uses the highest RTP model Quickspin lists for each game and the volatility score from its game sheet, where the sheet’s text gives one. Older sheets print the second, lower model on a separate page; we note it where we could read it.

Game RTP (Quickspin sheet) Volatility (Quickspin scale 1 to 5) What stands out
Big Bad Wolf (2013) 97.34% (also a 90% model) 4.24 of 5 Fairy-tale cascades; the wolf blows down houses for extra wilds
Sakura Fortune 96.58% (also 90.02%) 4.83 of 5 Princess wild respins plus free spins with expanding wilds
Eastern Emeralds 96.58% (also 90.12%) 5 of 5 Choose your free-spin mode: fewer spins, higher multipliers
Sticky Bandits 96.58% 4.10 of 5 Massive wilds on reels 2 and 4 that stick during free spins
Dwarfs Gone Wild 96.38% 3.74 of 5 Max payout of 2,535x the bet in Quickspin’s simulation
Hot Sync 96.29% 5 of 5 Synced reels that link up for bigger hits
Tiger’s Glory 96.51% not shown in the text sheet Enraged Tiger free spins
Big Bad Wolf Megaways (2021) 96%, 94% or 90% model not shown in the text sheet BTG’s Megaways engine under licence, up to 117,649 ways

Reading the table: almost every title sits close to 96.5%, but the volatility scores spread from 3.74 to 5. That spread matters more to how a session feels than the small RTP differences. Dwarfs Gone Wild pays smaller amounts more often; Eastern Emeralds and Hot Sync can go quiet for long stretches and then land a large bonus. If you play with a small budget, the lower scores will usually stretch it further.

Max payout figures need care. Quickspin quotes them as the highest win seen in its own simulation, for example 2,535x the bet for Dwarfs Gone Wild across 100 billion spins, or 1,023x for Sakura Fortune across a billion spins. They are not hard caps and not something you should expect to see.

Reading a Quickspin game sheet

A Quickspin sheet shows where the return comes from, and that tells you more about a game than the headline RTP. Take Sakura Fortune at its 96.58% setting. The sheet splits it into 47.71% from the base game, 22.34% from the respin feature and 26.53% from free spins. Roughly half of everything the game pays back therefore arrives through features, which is why sessions without a feature feel tight.

Game Base game share Feature share Total RTP
Sakura Fortune 47.71% 22.34% respins + 26.53% free spins 96.58%
Eastern Emeralds 67.94% 28.64% free spins 96.58%
Sticky Bandits 69.81% about 26.8% free spins 96.58%

Eastern Emeralds and Sticky Bandits pay a much larger share in the base game, yet both still score high for volatility, because their free-spin rounds concentrate big wins. The sheets also list how often larger wins land. For Sakura Fortune, Quickspin gives a win of 15x the bet or more about once in 83 spins, 40x about once in 191, 70x about once in 488 and 100x about once in 876. Numbers like these are the honest way to judge whether a game suits your budget: at 1 euro a spin, the 100x win needs, on average, close to 900 euro of spins to show up.

All of these games run in the browser on phones, tablets and desktops; Quickspin builds them in HTML5 with a 16:9 layout and the sheets list “Desktop and Mobile” as channels. Our page on mobile-friendly casinos covers what else to check on a phone, such as cashier limits and two-factor login.

How to check a Quickspin game’s RTP at a casino

Every Quickspin game on our list exists in at least two versions. Sakura Fortune, for instance, has 96% and 90% models, and Big Bad Wolf Megaways comes in 96%, 94% and 90% versions. A casino chooses one when it adds the game, and nothing on screen tells you which. This is the check we use:

  1. Open the slot at the casino. Demo mode is fine where it is offered.
  2. Tap the “i” or menu button and open the game rules, not just the paytable.
  3. Scroll to the bottom. Quickspin prints the theoretical return to player there as a percentage.
  4. Compare it with our table. A figure around 90% means the casino runs the lower model; around 94% means the middle Megaways setting.
  5. If the rules hide the RTP or the casino’s support cannot tell you, choose another casino.

On a 100 euro session the difference sounds small, but over a long run it is real: at 96.58% the expected cost of 1,000 euro of total spins is about 34 euro, at 90% it is about 100 euro. RTP is still only an average over millions of spins, so it says nothing about your next hour of play.

Quickspin and casino bonuses

Quickspin slots are common targets for free spins, especially Big Bad Wolf and Sakura Fortune. When a casino ties free spins to a Quickspin game, check the value per spin, whether winnings arrive as cash or bonus money, and the cash-out cap. Deposit bonuses follow the casino’s own rules: Goldroll’s welcome package, shown in the card above, uses 25x wagering on deposit plus bonus and a 5 euro maximum bet while bonus money is active. Our guides to free spins bonuses and welcome bonuses explain the usual small print.

Here is the arithmetic on a typical first-deposit match. Deposit 100 euro, receive 100 euro of bonus, and 25x wagering on deposit plus bonus means 5,000 euro of total stakes before the balance can be withdrawn. On a slot returning 96.58%, the expected loss over 5,000 euro of spins is about 171 euro, which is more than the bonus itself. On a 90% model it would be about 500 euro. That is why the RTP version matters so much when you play through a bonus, and why the lower models are worth avoiding altogether.

A practical tip: high-volatility games such as Eastern Emeralds and Hot Sync can burn through a bonus balance before the wagering is done. If clearing a bonus is the goal, a mid-volatility game such as Sticky Bandits or Dwarfs Gone Wild is the calmer choice, provided the bonus terms let it count in full.

Choosing a Quickspin slot for your budget

Think of the volatility score as a rough guide to how far your money has to stretch. With a small balance and a goal of playing for a while, start with the scores below 4.2: Dwarfs Gone Wild and Sticky Bandits. If you prefer a shot at a large bonus and accept long dry spells, Sakura Fortune, Eastern Emeralds and Hot Sync are built for that. Big Bad Wolf sits in between and is a good first Quickspin game for most players.

Bet size works the same way on every slot: a lower stake per spin gives you more spins and smooths the ride, but it does not change the RTP. Quickspin’s sheets list minimum bets from 0.15 to 0.25 euro and maximum bets up to 100 euro on several titles; the casino may set its own limits inside that range.

Quickspin compared with its sister and rival studios

Inside the Playtech group, Quickspin is the boutique video-slot studio, while Playtech’s own Origins studio covers jackpots such as Age of the Gods and big branded licences. Outside the group, Quickspin is usually compared with other Swedish studios. Yggdrasil leans on heavier graphics and its own feature engines, and Thunderkick is a smaller studio with a similar focus on design. Our gaming software hub compares the main studios side by side, and the slots guide explains reels, paylines and RTP from the ground up.

UK players

Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain (Gambling Act 2005), and GAMSTOP self-exclusion only covers UKGC-licensed sites. Quickspin’s games are covered by Playtech’s UK licence, but Goldroll holds no UK licence: it is licensed in Anjouan, its terms bar UK residents, and it is not aimed at players in Great Britain. If you live in Great Britain, play Quickspin games at a UKGC-licensed casino and check it on the Commission’s public register. No casino on our list accepts players from the United States.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns Quickspin?

Quickspin has been part of the Playtech group since 2016, when Playtech bought the Stockholm studio. It still releases games under the Quickspin name, and its own site describes it as part of the Playtech group. Playtech is listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.

What is the RTP of Big Bad Wolf?

Quickspin’s game page says Big Bad Wolf comes with two RTP models, 90% and 97%. The game sheet gives the higher model as 97.34%. Which one you get depends on the casino, so open the game rules and read the RTP line before you play.

Is Quickspin a Swedish company?

Yes. Quickspin AB is based at Årstaängsvägen 21C in Stockholm, Sweden. It was started in 2011 by three friends from the Swedish slot industry and now has about 100 staff in five countries, according to its about page.

Which Quickspin slot is the most volatile?

On Quickspin’s own 1 to 5 scale, Eastern Emeralds is rated 5 and Sakura Fortune 4.83, the highest of the classics in our table. Dwarfs Gone Wild (3.74) is the calmest of the group.

Are Quickspin games fair?

Quickspin games are certified before release in each regulated market. Quickspin’s site states it is regulated in Great Britain under UK Gambling Commission account 38516, which is Playtech plc’s group account, and its games are supplied under Playtech’s Malta Gaming Authority critical gaming supply licence. Fairness testing does not remove the house edge: over time the casino keeps the difference between 100% and the RTP.

Do all casinos run the same Quickspin RTP?

No. Most Quickspin slots have at least two maths models, for example 96% and 90% for Sakura Fortune. The casino picks one. The graphics look identical, so the RTP line in the game rules is the only reliable check.
