Betsoft casinos are online casinos that carry games from Betsoft Gaming, the studio known for cinematic 3D slots such as The Slotfather, Greedy Goblins and Mr. Vegas. Betsoft says it was founded in 2006 and now has more than 200 RNG titles. Below you will find the casino on our list whose site shows Betsoft, eight Betsoft slots with RTP, volatility and hit rate taken from Betsoft’s own game pages, and the steps to check which RTP version a casino runs.

All game figures were read on betsoft.com on 8 October 2026. They describe each game’s published version; a casino may run another setting where its licence allows it.

Who Betsoft is today

Betsoft Gaming trades as Betsoft Gaming LTD and is based in Malta. Its about page says the company was founded in 2006 and made its name by pioneering slots with richer graphics and animation than was usual at the time. The old version of this page put the start date at 1999 and said Betsoft had “recently” received an AAMS approval in Italy. The Italian regulator is now the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM), which assumed the functions of the former AAMS in 2012, and ADM is one of the marks Betsoft shows in its footer today.

Betsoft’s site does not name a parent company, and we found no primary source for one, so we do not name one. If you need to confirm a Betsoft licence for a particular market, check the regulator’s own register rather than a review site.

What Betsoft is known for

Betsoft’s early hits looked different from the flat slots of the late 2000s. Games such as Mr. Vegas (2012) and The Slotfather (2012) used 3D characters, short animated scenes and pick-me bonus rounds, more like a casual video game than a fruit machine. The studio moved its library to HTML5 so the same games run on phones and desktops, which is why titles from 2012 still work in a mobile browser today.

More recent Betsoft games lean on Hold and Win features, where special symbols lock in place and award respins, often with fixed jackpots. The Slotfather: Book of Wins Hold and Win (2024) combines that with a “book” expanding-symbol feature, and Betsoft rates it very high volatility. Betsoft also sells operators tools such as tournaments and network promotions, which is why Goldroll can advertise Betsoft prize drops across many games.

Notable Betsoft games: RTP and volatility

Betsoft’s game pages state the RTP, a volatility label and a hit rate for each title. Hit rate is the share of spins that produce any win.

Game Live from RTP (Betsoft page) Volatility Hit rate Layout
Mr. Vegas May 2012 93.60% Medium 8.25% 5 reels, 30 lines
The Slotfather Dec 2012 95.69% Medium 8.17% 5 reels, 30 lines
Rook’s Revenge Feb 2014 93.66% High 38.06% 5 reels, 25 lines
Greedy Goblins Sep 2014 97.20% High 32.72% 5 reels, 30 lines
Gold Canyon Jul 2019 96.13% High 32.95% 5 reels, 20 lines
Take the Bank Oct 2019 96.08% Medium 20.12% 5 reels, 75 lines
Stacked Mar 2021 96.39% Medium/Low 39.83% 4 reels, 20 lines
The Slotfather: Book of Wins Hold and Win Jun 2024 96.60% Very High 24.68% 5 reels, 10 lines

The spread is wider than at many studios. Greedy Goblins returns 97.20% on Betsoft’s sheet, while Mr. Vegas and Rook’s Revenge sit below 94%. Over 1,000 euro of total spins, that is the difference between an expected cost of about 28 euro and about 64 euro. If you like the Betsoft style but care about value, the newer titles (Gold Canyon, Take the Bank, Stacked, Book of Wins) all list above 96%.

Hit rates are just as varied. The Slotfather and Mr. Vegas win on about one spin in twelve, because most of their return sits in bonus rounds. Stacked and Rook’s Revenge pay something on close to two spins in five.

How Hold and Win features work

Hold and Win is the feature type behind many recent Betsoft releases, and it works the same way in principle across studios. A set number of special symbols, usually six or more, triggers a round of respins. The symbols that started the round lock in place, the other positions spin again, and every new special symbol that lands also locks and resets the respin counter, typically to three. The round ends when the respins run out without a new symbol, and you collect the values shown on the locked symbols, plus a fixed jackpot on some games if the whole grid fills.

The appeal is the visible build-up; the catch is that the feature carries a large share of the game’s return, so the base game pays less. That is why Book of Wins Hold and Win is rated very high volatility even though its RTP (96.60%) is the best of the newer titles in our table. Read the rules screen for the trigger count, the reset value and how jackpots are paid before you play.

Beyond slots: table games and video poker

Betsoft’s portfolio also covers RNG table games and video poker, which share the same random number generators and certification as its slots. These games usually have much lower house edges than slots when played well, but the rules vary by version: blackjack payouts, the number of decks and video poker pay tables all change the return. Our video poker guide explains how to read a pay table so you can tell a full-pay game from a reduced one.

How to check a Betsoft game’s RTP at a casino

  1. Open the game at the casino; use demo mode if it is offered.
  2. Open the menu or the “i” button and read the game rules.
  3. Look for the theoretical return to player line, usually near the end of the rules.
  4. Compare it with the figure in our table. If the casino’s version is lower, it is running a reduced configuration.
  5. If the RTP is not shown at all, choose another casino that is open about its game settings.

This matters more for Betsoft than for some studios because the base RTPs already vary so much. A reduced version of a 93.6% game is a poor deal by any standard, so this check takes a minute and is worth doing every time, at every casino where you play Betsoft games.

Choosing a Betsoft game for your budget

  • Steady play: Stacked (medium/low volatility, 39.83% hit rate) keeps a small balance moving.
  • Balanced: Take the Bank and The Slotfather (medium). Expect quieter spells between bonuses on The Slotfather.
  • High risk: Greedy Goblins, Gold Canyon and Rook’s Revenge (high), or Book of Wins Hold and Win (very high) if you accept long dry runs for a bigger feature.

When you play with bonus money, check whether the game counts towards wagering. Goldroll’s welcome package, for example, uses 25x wagering on deposit plus bonus and a 5 euro maximum bet while bonus money is active; on a 100 euro deposit matched with 100 euro, that is 5,000 euro of total stakes before you can withdraw. Many casinos also block feature buys and cap winnings from bonus funds, so read the bonus terms in full.

Betsoft compared with similar studios

Betsoft is often grouped with Real Time Gaming because both supply many casinos outside the big regulated markets, though Betsoft also works in regulated ones such as Italy. For high-volume modern slots, Pragmatic Play is the usual comparison. Our gaming software hub sets the main studios side by side, and the slots guide explains RTP, volatility and paylines.

UK players

Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain (Gambling Act 2005), and GAMSTOP self-exclusion only covers UKGC-licensed sites. Goldroll, the casino on our list, does not hold a UKGC licence: it is licensed in Anjouan, its terms bar UK residents, and it is not aimed at players in Great Britain. No casino on our list accepts players from the United States.

Frequently asked questions

When was Betsoft founded?

Betsoft’s own about page says the company was founded in 2006. The old version of this page said 1999, which we could not support from Betsoft’s own material, so we have corrected it. The company trades as Betsoft Gaming LTD.

Is Betsoft licensed?

Betsoft’s website footer shows the mark of Italy’s regulator ADM (Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli) and the test labs GLI and Quinel, and the company describes itself as licensed and certified for regulated markets. A casino’s own licence is what protects you as a player, so always check the casino’s licence as well.

What is the RTP of The Slotfather?

Betsoft’s game page lists The Slotfather at 95.69% RTP, medium volatility and an 8.17% hit rate, on 5 reels and 30 paylines. The 2024 follow-up, The Slotfather: Book of Wins Hold and Win, is listed at 96.60% with very high volatility.

Which Betsoft slot has the highest RTP?

Of the games in our table, Greedy Goblins has the highest RTP on Betsoft’s own page, at 97.20%. Mr. Vegas (93.60%) and Rook’s Revenge (93.66%) are the lowest, so the gap between Betsoft titles is more than three and a half points.

Do Betsoft casinos accept UK players?

Betsoft games appear at UK-licensed casinos as well as offshore ones, but the casino on our list, Goldroll, is not licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and excludes UK residents in its terms. In Great Britain, use a UKGC-licensed casino and check it on the Commission’s register.

Are Betsoft games available on mobile?

Yes. Betsoft builds its current games in HTML5 so they run in the browser on phones, tablets and desktops. The old version of this page mentioned Windows Phone versions; that platform has been discontinued by Microsoft, so the point no longer applies.
